Reading Challenge [2024]

I finished reading the 33 1/3 of Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures" (written by Chris Ott) recently. I know that the 33 1/3 series can be hit or miss, but this book was an interesting read that talked about the band's growth and artistic development before making such a timeless record. I'd also recommend the 33 1/3 for Pavement's "Wowee Zowee" by Bryan Charles. It's more personal than the JD one — reflecting on the author's connection to the album and how much it means to him — and has a lot of interviews with the band about the making of the album.

I have a rare form of dyslexia where i can’t really process information or read from books without eyes jumping onto different areas of the page.

i do however collect rare books but don’t read them in the hope that one day God will answer my prayers and i will be able to start reading.

my question is, how did you learn to read? And why do you read? And how does reading shape you in any way or form?
