The more risks you take, the more you'll fail, but also the more you'll succeed. The less risks you take, the less you'll fail, but also the less you'll succeed. Your ability to take risks depends on your self image and what you believe you deserve.
I think people make very poor assumptions and judgements of what is possible. So I prefer "deserve" because you're willing to test that limiting assumption because you feel you deserve to go for it no matter what the outcome is.
