It wants me to keep quiet and hidden so that other people won't harm me. It wants me to stay comfortable and pleasured by escaping an uncertain reality. It doesn't want me to take risks or try new things so that I don't experience pain or problems.
It doesn't want me to challenge anything that's beyond my current level of comfort, competence, confidence, and experience. It doesn't want me to talk to strangers (especially ones that I find attractive). It doesn't want me to ever feel negative emotions.
Thank you for protecting me this whole time ego, but I want to open the wound. It's healed. I want to experience higher quality pleasure, solutions, and positive experience even if that means risking pain, problems, and negative experiences. You can rest now ego.
