Boredom at nights

  1. Fuck me. Imm lying on bench in park like an idiot. Its almkst midnight. Ive no interest in doing anything at home. I live alone and i have noone to talk to. Im nofap/no alco/ no social media.
    I dont feel atrocious or sad and depressive which is good. Yet iveno fuxking clue what to do wirh my life. Im 27

  3. Yes, well paid IT job. My interests are also in IT things. I do a lot of sport but sometimes i get no interest in any of these.

    You really gotta try new things. It's common sense, you can't know if you like it unless you try it. It's backed by science, there are neuronic links that lie dormant until they are activated by some situations. You have to try it to engage/discover them. That's also why they say "Magic happens just outside your comfort zone."

    No man. It's a problem of social paradigm and approach. Maybe even life paradigm. It is time to construct. Take the constructive road, not the destructive one. Keep in touch if you want to keep updated about the process.

    I'm in a similar boat. I'm in a sexless marriage and a very boring IT job.

    BUT, I've had the same IT job for six years and boredom is only effecting me now, why? I have a theory.

    Addictions keep us comfortable in the spots we are in. A man who works in a coal mine for 40 years might only be able to do it if he drinks every night. Ever since I've drastically reduced PMO, MO and alcohol, the boredom and restlessness has set in.

    What to do about it? Well meditation helps for sure. Other than that I'm at a crossroads as well about this. My only thought is that I need to challenge myself. IT gives us opportunities to automate something we were doing manually. I'm trying to challenge myself at work to "spice things up"

    I have very similar problems. At night I want to switch off my phone but I can't find anything to do that doesn't require my smartphone. I need to get some physical books I guess. Anyone have any suggestions on ways to wind down and entertain yourself at night?
     
  9. You're at a crossroads, don't be scared. You'll get through it. You've made some positive changes in your life. Now you've just got to find things to replace those old habits with. It sounds to me though like you're mind is reaching up and over the everyday things of your life and questioning life itself. Life is more than work or hobbies or even relationships. You must have some sort of belief system to underpin everything which gives your life meaning. Sounds like your old belief system is in danger, which is why you feel empty. Perhaps you've more time to think about things now you've given up your old hobbies. Talking to someone is always good. Remember NoFap is a supportive community and I'm here if you want to talk.
     
  10. Watch TV/films (be wary of triggers though). Read a book/magazine. Do something creative. Keep a journal. Write a letter to someone. Learn a new skill/take up a hobby. Play board/card games. Have a conversation with someone. Stare into the fire with a cup of tea. Listen to music (classical is good).

    Thank god someone else has this im well bored cos I'm on a family holiday in the country side and my friends here are not so free, and when they r they just wanna sit and game/ watch tv, still I'm making my own video games character and working out in my spare time which keeps me going
     
  12. Thanks for your replies. Well I'm playing CS:GO in spare time and create some video games. But sometimes I just want to vomit when looking at the computer. Sometimes I just dont feel like doing anything but relax. But i have no clue how to relax when I dont drink / no chat / NoFap. This shit is pretty critical.

    Today I've decided to go to bed but the demons came. They were talking to me really bad things like ' Im all alone, nothing is waiting for me, Im completely isolated, I have no value and im the only one and the worst'. I had to lit up the lights and they were gone .. crazy stuff bros.

    I feel like a fucking super sayan boosting my character and I stay strong. I've already rocked bottom some months ago(it was really, reallly bad) but now I'm developing my best skills. This year my achievements are:
    -eating well, lost 7kg and working out my abs
    - dropped cigarretes
    -dropped alcohol
    -dropped sex/online chats and cheating on women online to get naked photos
    -very rarely watching porn, if I fap I try do it from memory lol
    -dropped social media
    -dropped crazy music and movies
    -fapping very rarely like 1 a week but trying to reach 3 weeks and later maybe totally.
    -created some video games/projects
    -boosted social interactions
    -boosted my faith
    -staying on solid ground
    I need to rewire my brain so I dont feel mentally awkward when socializing and so Imake more joy of simple pleasures. For now the only problem are some of the nights when demons come. I just have no clue how to find a new hobby If I dont feel like doing something new. Give exact examples what you do pleas; )

    If you are struggling to relax and stressed then meditation, yoga, flexibility training, self massage (trigger points lacrosse ball, foaming rolling etc), breathing training..are some options

    Once you've been through the NoFap Challenge, you will feel your confidence level spiked (I can feel it even I'm only few days yet). And about the simple pleasures, have you tried that Gratitude Attitude Challenge? Even a small breeze of wind can make you really happy if you are learning to be grateful, and that's perfectly fine (just ignore that sound of the demon, and it will be disappeared).
