Currently on 20th day of NoFap. Have relapsed so many times. From 60 days to 7 days of streaks. Relapse kept on going for over an year of my attempt to quit fapping. This time it feels better. Just wanted to share my experience and answer some myths to clear everything for folks who are new to it. Everyone will have different opinions though, so don't hate and take only those things, which you might find positive:)

Contact me if you want help. I'll be more than happy to answer.

    1. If you think you're in depression, or suffering low self esteem or can't talk to girls with confidence. All cos of masturbation. Trust me, been through it. Quit and these craps will be gone.

    2. Relapse is okay. Don't quit. Your mind will eventually catch up. If you relapse, start again. Don't quit till you quit fapping

    3. Don't try and control your thoughts. If a horny thought comes, acknowledge it and let it go. Don't focus and hold it in your mind, nor try and ignore it completely. It only makes it worst.

    4. No, NoFap doesn't makes you a superman. You won't get any special skills or powers or energy via this. But you'll get a grip on your life. You'll start to gain control on it. The thing which we all crave :)

    5. Cases of blue balls are either a medical problem or a total piece of crap being sold to demotivate you. Nothing happens. Your body is completely capable of dealing with the unused sperm. Don't worry. But if you feel uncomfortable or get blue balls, see a urologist. You might be carrying a problem. It doesn't happens to everyone who quits fapping.

    6. Yes, only shaking your penis but stopping right before you're about to orgasm counts as masturbation. Avoid it.

    7. Keep faith on yourself. Flatline phase (from day 7 to day 60, number varies from person to person) might slow you down a bit. But it will pass. Nothing to worry.

    8. Remember, life is better than those 5-15 seconds of pleasure of self cranked orgasm. Sex is different. But masturbation isn't.

    9. Don't make it a live or die kind of mission. Nothing extreme like hardcore NoFap and stuff (but don't watch porn cos it will roll you back). Keep it simple and focus on your life. Everything will fall into place.

Very good list - I hope it will help some of doubting fapstronauts to continue the journey!

I have one minor thing to point out - Ad.1. I wouldn't be so sure about that in every situation. Especially if someone is diagnosed with depression, nofap isn't going to substitute for medication and therapy. I am not saying that this kind of attitude is wrong - unfortunately nofap in no panacea.

I did mate. I lost my morning erections, my erections weren't always hard too. I am still in the recovery state. You'll start to feel better after the second week. It should be gone completely after 60-70 days

As I said mate, everyone has a different opinion, a different experience. I had a rough time with depression, but once I started to recover, fapping pulled me down. Since the nofap, i am feeling better and confident.

I completely agree with you though. Chronical depressions caused by trauma won't get cured with nofap. You'll have to seek help. But trust me, nofap will help you to be better in it as you start to get more confident about yourself, feel better about yourself, deal withyour problem, getting a grip on life. That's what we do in the therapy too, right. Along with more things :)

I know mate. As i said, everyone has different opinions, different experiences. I'm just sharing mine with you.

No doubt, chronicle depression will need psychiatric help, maybe meds too (Not a fan of meds), but trust me bro. Once you do nofap, you'll actually do better in your recovery. You might not get 100% cured, but you'll do 10 times better with nofap. You'll feel good about yourself, more confident, and more curious. That inner energy which we waste in fapping, will help you become a better man. :)

Good luck and I'll pray that you recover very soon

My concern was I don't want somebody with a diagnosis of clinical depression using NoFap as a medication substitute. My ED is largely the result of years of psych meds. Not much success with the little pills. I figured I'd give the reboot a try. Lack of porn doesnt bother me at all.

As you said, your pills were a major reason of your ED. I didn't mention to leave your meds and therapy too. I said you will recover with nofap. And trust me bro, you will do better with it.

Our sexual energy is the most divine power we can harness. Channel it correctly, not letting it go to waste mby hand cranking, along with a peaceful state of mind will help you recover with any problem you want to kill. The Placebo effect, what scientists call it today.

I do feel better after 25 days

  11. Not hating, but many of these views are incorrect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasocongestion

Blue balls are not a total piece of crap being sold to demotivate you. If you feel uncomfortable or get blue balls, it is not necessary to see a urologist. It is a slight, temporary medical problem created by localised blood pressure. It's no big deal.
