    Hello to all !

I'm new here, it's good to see there's many ways to escape PMO...

I also have many activities I wish I would spend more time on (writing, reading, watching movies and exercising are the big four I guess) but so far I've had a hard time really getting to do any of those, mainly because they require a minimum of peace of mind (or so I feel).

I'm 7 days in my first challenge in a very long time, (I did 5 weeks a year ago) and it's pretty hard. What I mainly do to keep my mind of PMO is play more video games. That's not always bad I'd say, especially when I played great games such as the Mass Effect Trilogy (almost feels like a movie...) but now that I finished it it's harder to find clever engaging games !

And I def don't want a substitution addiction...

Do any of you guys and gals have tips about what kind of activity it is easy to engage in, even with a troubled mind ? Or really good video games that are definitively not a waste of times :p ? (Those are rare, but I'd say you can find art in the Indy video game scene !)

I hope I'm not too off topic, and it's really great to be here :)

I'm not sure if anyone said this here but you can use this website www.duolingo.com to learn some languages. I'm a bit skeptical as to how good this site works, but it's worth to give it a shot.

Hey man, well it depends what kind of business and investing. A good investment book that I started reading is Tony Robbins - Master The Game, I know the cover will seem gimmicky, but the interviews Tony has with many top 1% earners in the stock market is worth giving the book a read. If you want to stay on top of the tech business check out this great website where little companies and all kinds of tech products both digital and product are released by the minute. http://www.producthunt.com/. I can provide you many more links but let me know which kind of business you want to read about.

I just started with the whole investing thing. Can't do much, until I pay off more debt and have more capital to invest. Idk if you have your financials affairs in order but a good book to get you started on this, is "I will teach you to be rich" this is a very simple book about basic negotiating skills you can apply to cut down your apr in credit cards, understanding better what apr is, having a budget you can stick to, having a plan to pay off credit card debt (if you have it), maximizing your 401k(if you have it), opening a IRA NOW even if it's just a few dollars to get you in the habit of putting your money somewhere else than a savings account, and living within your means.

So let me know! PM me if you need something specific.

I just recently purchased a Strat HSS guitar. I have made it a goal to learn how to play in a year's time. So far I've learned the A, D, and E chords, but am currently having a tough time switching chords. The song "Wild Thing" features these three chords. Once I get over this hump, I'll be learning the next family of chords. Other than that, I'm really enjoying it. I've only been playing for a week, so I shouldn't push myself too hard.

I have many different interests and distractions, but I mostly use them to keep my mind off of the stresses of work.

  17. I've started reading... a ton. That is one thing that porn and video games kicked off to the side. Nothing has helped me more in my self development than reading. Fiction, non-fiction, self development books... read them all, or listen to them on Audible while commuting or exercising. Also: exercise.
