Hello determined folks, I have been watching porn since 17 (now 30) and the older i get, the more disgusting i feel after. I am a new father and i thought once the baby was born i would stop. The longest i went was around 4 months after the baby but i kinda fell back into the trap. I chose not to give up and beat this evil. The devil is clearly playing tricks here and i am determined to win. I will start reading through to get an overview of how this works. I have been feeling disgusted after watching porn and feel like i am cheating on my wife and baby/family. My self image has taken a huge beating also from all this and the more stressed i get, the more i watch. Looking for the light at the end of the tunnel.

@newlife2k17 Check out the rebooting in relationships part of the forum - it'll help you understand what it's like for a woman whose partner can't stop using porn. I'm in the same boat as you brother - this fight is going to take everything you got. Look into the science of porn addiction and recognize that you are just a pawn of the primitive parts of your brain. If you have any sort of faith or philosophy - draw on it to the full extent possible. To be the best man possible for yourself and your family - make fighting this your priority.
Welcome my friend. It is good you feel like you have been cheating your family, because you have. I do not say that Judge mentally, but because I have been cheating my wife and others for so many years now. I am so happy I also found this website so I can try to make things right going forward. Thank you friends. I will look into that particular part. I want to be the best example for our baby and not let my wife down. For the past year everytime I watch porn something bad happens the same or next day. I don't know if it's God punishing me or something but I definitely feel something goes after me and my family. I will read about everything possible from the forums. I am a spiritual person and but don't know how to tap into that since it's hard to find stuff about it in my religion. Even though I am not a Christian I follow people like Joel Osteen closely so I am open to advise. Thank you

Thank you. I have learnt that Instagram especially is a big trigger for me. The stuff that shows up on the explore page contributes towards it. I also work from home and when things get stressful i resort to this to cope.
