I can certainly say that at this point, the rebooting process feels much better than 30 days ago. 30 days ago, I experienced some tough withdrawal symptoms such as depression and social anxiety. Today, I have more confidence in myself and around women, more energy and motivation, less anxiety in social situations, and a more friendly attitude towards people and less awkward situations. Also, some of the fogginess in my brain has decreased. I'm able to concentrate and listen better, and speak clearly. Oh, and one more thing... I have less shame! How did I get here? Below are six tools I use for a sucessful reboot: Attending recovery (12-step) meetings. Installing Web-filtering Software (Net Nanny) on computer. Leaving my Ipad at the office. Reading books on recovery (Out of the Shadows by Patrick Carnes, Breaking the Cycle by George Collins, Your Brain on Porn by Gary Wilson, Breaking Free by Russell Willingham ) Changing to a flip phone with no browser capacity Talking to therapist and calling sponsor I'm thankful for my Higher Power, my sponsor, and the members in my two recovery meetings. (2-month chip, 12-step program)
