Has anyone heard of Victor Pride of Bold and Determined. He has a program called "30 days of discipline" which has 12 habits you do everyday. One of them is not masturbating or watching pron except on sundays(not using porn on sundays aswell). The other twelve habits that I can remember are: Waking up early bw 5-7 no snacking (eating a specific # of meals) Keeping a notebook with you Making a to-do list everyday 100 pushups/situps/squats everyday Having 1 Goal and working towards it Saying Yes/No to answers that demand it or having a specific answer for a non Yes/No answer Keeping Correct posture and Making Eye Contact with everyone Dressing your absolute best everyday. And a couple others I can't remember right now(though they were awesome) IF anyone's interested we could make a log where we track our daily habits and share our challenges/experiences with it. I am still undecided about what my #1 goal should be The following are my choices: 1. School 2. Guitar 3. Therapy 4. Gym/cardio (it is a habit right now and I don't have to think much about it so not my 1st option) 5. Meditation (could include this in therapy) So, is anyone interested? It could help with accountability.
I was thinking that maybe we could just use this thread as a journal of sorts of our progress with these habits. I have yet to read the full ebook. And once I am done with that I will begin the Challenge, most probably by tomorrow.
No prob doing it here. Though it wont be personal and it is harder to commit. I have an accountability group on fb messenger. But im seeking more accountable partners to help me battle PMO. What do you think about telegram messenger?
My internet connection on my mobile is shitty ATM, if I can get that worked out today then I'm down with the Telegram messenger. Though I could use this as a public log and for more detail
Today was my 1st day in incorporating all of these habits. Waking up early - I woke up at like 2 o clock and couldn't go to sleep after - tried to sleep until 4. Morning exercise - did squats/pike push-ups and crunches - 100 reps of each Dressing my absolute best - succeeded with this / when I went out to get some chores handled - I wore a new v-neck and jeans along with white sneakers. Looked slick. I need to get a haircut though. Replying only with yes/no or giving a definite answer - I didn't monitor this closely but I made sure to not explain myself too much and was more confident in making decisions. Keeping correct posture and making eye contact with everyone - made sure to stand straight and look into people's eyes more without being too creepy. Keeping a notebook - I didn't keep a physical book with myself but I did jot down any ideas I had - Not snacking - this one was easy and a real time-saver - Having a goal - was a bit undecided about this one. I am going to make school by no. 1 priority. Have an exam coming up in -20 days and I plan on acing it. My school performance has been getting worse but I'm going to improve it.
2nd Day was a failure. Waking up early - I woke up at like 1pm and had to rush to get a haircut because it was my first day at an internship. Atleast I got an awesome haircut. And didn't really face any problem at the internship. Got assigned to be a leader at some project which I have mixed feelings about because my social anxiety might hold me back. On the other hand, this might just be an opportunity for me to learn how to lead people which might be a valuable skill plus it'll help me be less anxious. I'm going to stick with it and see what happens. Morning exercise - As I woke up so late, I coudln't complete this. Cold Shower-> I took the "coldest" shower available which I've grown accustomed to but it helps me get out of the shower quicker. Dressing my absolute best - Succeeded with this. I had bought some new shirts a couple days ago. My outfit for today was a grey crew-neck that fit really well and dark blue jeans plus white sneakers(which I have to replace cause they seem worn out). Replying only with yes/no or giving a definite answer - I was more communicative today of what I thought and my opinion on certain things and was less likely to apologize for my position when someone asked me something in a convo. Keeping correct posture and making eye contact with everyone - Good posture comes naturally to me since I've made going to the gym a regular habit -> when talking to everyone I made sure to make eye contact. But group conversations come difficult to me so I'll have to work more on that. Keeping a notebook - Jotted down a note for myself to remind myself in certain situations. Not snacking - eating healthy and proper full meals is a habit of mine now. Having a goal - DID not study at ALL today. Was too busy with the internship stuff. Will study tomorrow.
Thoughts on today: Waking up earlier makes All the difference. I'm not as rushed. Have time to plan and get shit done. But 7-9 hours sleep is important aswell.
3rd Day was a bit better Waking up early - Woke up at 11 so I failed Morning exercise - Didn't do this today either. Cold Shower-> Doing this is no prob now. Dressing my absolute best - Didn't have to go anywhere today so I neglected this Replying only with yes/no or giving a definite answer - I have to be honest. I tend to explain myself a lot and am mostly unsure when making decisions. Keeping correct posture and making eye contact with everyone - Yes Keeping a notebook - Noted down some worries I had. Not snacking - I eat mostly the same things everyday at mostly the same times. Having a goal - Going to Study now.
I am also in! For the next 30 days (starting tomorrow. I mean on monday. Or on the first of august. But at the latest on january first. No serious, i will start tommorow.)
