Hello everyone! I like being the new guy especially at new places and in new experiences. I stumbled upon a nofap video on YouTube and decided to checkout the site and see if it would really help me quit watching porn and masturbating. I stumbled upon porn and masturbation quite very early. Deep down I knew it was disgusting but I kept doing it. Sometimes I stop for some time but I still end up going back it. I've always wanted to talk about viewing porn and masturbation, I feel, talking about it and discussing about my journey to recovery would help stop the menace in my life(something I've never done) Hopefully through nofap I would end this habit.
Welcome I'm certain there are a lot here who have also experienced watching and using grotesque and disgusting materials. Myself included.
Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you. The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?
Thanks... My strategies are pretty simple. I intend to memorize and verse from the Bible any time I get the urge to PMO and secondly to cut down on the time I spend using the internet especially at nights. What are your strategies? Have they been helpful?
The Bible verses are interesting, I should try, thanks! Shutting down the Internet at nights is an excellent idea. Everytime I feel urges, I come to the forums and reply to people, that helps me a lot! I pray for you!
Welcome in our community. "Deep down I knew..." Interesting words. Looks like we have some inner voice whispering to us "There is more to experience than jerking-off". A lot of people seem to live in this loud world and don't recognize the inner voice. I installed this day-accounter in my profile and it gives me some motivation. Just realized that in a few hours it will go to "18 days" and this will be my longest sexual abstinence in the last 12 years. I feel fine and want to continue some more weeks. Reading the comments here and the good advices helps me very much to stay strong.
