I used to masturbate from an early age since primary school once a day and then i decided to quit.In my case just by using my will power and keeping my mind off helped. What i suggest is try to find something else to do so you can keep your mind off and "blow steam off".One option is to join the gym and work out daily (working out helped a lot). You have to keep yourself occupied so that the last thing that is on your mind is faping because the urges hit you when you have nothing to do and just feel bored.

Trust yourself and do it.A simple google search of nofap will show you plenty of videos. What i suggest is lock all those dirty websites from your PC and delete any dirty videos you have in your PC and smartphone.Simply put get rid of everything that will keep you from your goal.Another thing is download the Nofap app on your smartphone you will need it

You have been doing this for four years and good for you for realizing the harm that faping does to you.Stop it now while you have the chance you can do it.I have been watching porn and masturbating since i was 10 i think and now i am 22 so there you have it after 10 years i have realized it.Better late than never so do it.There are no excuses that is what i always say to myself.Every day is a new day it is never late to change your course

    WOW @addicted3699 .

Your background story is the exact same as mine. I'm 16 too, started watching porn at 12 too. We have much in common.

You said your problem is that you can't find the right motivation. Well, I'm sorry motivation is something you have to find for yourself since this is very subjective to every person. Like for me, my main reason for quitting porn is that I have major examinations this year and I just overall want to make myself a better person and do things I previously thought was impossible for me to achieve. This thought can be very motivating at times since this is my own motivation that really targets the roots of my problem.

Also, working out doesn't necessarily need to be in the gym. I never thought of going to the gym. I'll just do bodyweight and invested in a set of dumbbells with different weights that I can do in the comfort of my home. This is very good since theres no need to travel and go to the gym which can be expensive too.

Well i have to agree with @JWwantsalife motivation is something you have to find. Each and everyone of us here have our own reasons why we started Nofap.

Also working out does not mean join the gym.For example i run for about an hour in the morning and another hour in the evening so i can blow steam off. That way i feel better and i have no need to fap. There are also many videos on YouTube about home workout that you can try if you are interested.

In the end it is up to you if you want to stop faping but you have to find the right motivation, the reason why you are doing this and keep focusing on that goal. You have to find something to do in order to keep your mind off faping. Replace the old bad habit with a new healthier one that is the key to success

I am also 16 and have been PMOing since I was 10. You're motivation can be many things, whether wanting to avoid the guilty feeling you may get after watching porn, knowing your parents wouldn't want your watching it, close relatives with some form of an addiction and seeing how it has effected them, or even PIED. In my case it's all of these. There has to be some reason you knew it was wrong and why you stopped. Best of luck.

I think that porn in and of itself is stale, boring, and overall just a part of a useless routine. I've watched porn for about 10 years now and trust me when I stay you start to get bored with it pretty quick, so much so that the only way to get rid of the boredom is to go deeper into the more disgusting categories of porn and trust me, your pride will be thrown out the door. That is what I keep telling myself whenever I'm trying to stay away from porn. This is only a temporary fix however because then you will need something to replace it, so try and do something active and then going straight to sleep. The less potential time you have to actually masturbate the better, so stall to the best of your abilities, make commitments, set goals, whatever you need to do and make a foundation of a better life.

  8. You may like to deeply reflect on your beliefs - purpose of life, true fulfilment, why we're here, what is there to learn.. Seek out answers to these questions. If your current belief is life is for getting pleasure, it will be hard to give up PMO because it is a fast way to achieve that. If you change that belief to "my purpose is to unlock my potential as a spiritual and intellectual being and use my talents to improve my community", it provides a powerful drive for self-improvement. I'm lucky to be a Bahai and have a strong sense of purpose and guidance from my faith that has shaped my every action for years, steering me away from unhealthy things towards healthy, fulfilling behaviours. Having beautiful fundamental beliefs is a long term transformative necessity.
