why did man decide five will look like 5. Or two will look like 2. Who decided the shape for numbers!!!! Was it just random choice or did they actually work it out!!! Who even decided how to say the numbers as words!
The number system as we know it comes is Arabic. People from all countries gave words to their own number system. The words as we know them come from Latin/old German languages. You should compare the numbers with the Arabic letters. It's crazy!
Bumping an old one, but, originally, the face of every number contained as many angles as the number 1, was one angle, 2 had two angles and so on. 0 was round because it had no angle at all (no vertex). Historically there were other number typefaces too, all based on the basic principle of showing a count. It's actually a really fun read to research through.
Time is an inner form of the mind. When we measure time, we get numbers in succession. These numbers are then what gives us mathematics and geometry, which are a pure science of the mind.
