Hi guys, I suffer from social anxiety but it is usually manageable. Since I started the challenge, it has just gone up. Besides PMO, I am a healthy, active person. Any idea why I would be feeling so anxious since starting this? I was hoping to see some benefits by now, will it go away? thanks!

Maybe you're finding that your anxiety is a trigger for masturbating? or conversely, maybe you've been managing it with masturbation without even knowing it? I know I tend to masturbate when overwhelmed and wanting to relax my brain. The goal, I think, is to find other coping mechanism. I started my 30 day challenge (which may or may not turn into a 90 day challenge) yesterday - feel free to message me if you're looking for motivation!

what kind of social anxiety are you talking about?
    Talking to women?
Or asking simple stuff from people.
I don't think no pmo directly helps with anxiety.
it's more like it makes you aware of your anxiety and gives you more drive to fix it.

    Hope that helped ;)

Just general social anxiety, particularly around large groups of strangers or when speaking with people that seem to be more confident than me, not particularly around women. I am going strong at over a month since I stopped PM, but the anxiety does continue to bug me, hopefully I learn to manage it... I've been trying different meditation techniques and lots of exercise, but for whatever reason my confidence and brain chemistry still seem off

I've managed to make it to 34 days but I'm starting to doubt whether this is actually good for me. I am constantly on edge and worried about being judged by other people. This has always been something I deal with but its usually manageable and I am perfectly functioning. Right now it seems like I should go back to PMO if it will make this anxiety go away. HELP!!!!

I relapsed last night due to stress from work, social anxiety and too much alone time. I beleive, you have to be around extremely positive, loving and some what religious people (hopefully family members). Its hard for me to last a week when i am by myself but around family or positive people i can last for months without serious repercussions.

Also, after relapsing, i felt old painful memories hunting me bc i already felt guilty/weak. I am planning to tell my mind that i will feel awful next time i PMO so i should stop...may be sex with a stranger may be better. What do you think?

I am having sex with my partner at least once a week... it might be helping but the anxiety is still kind of nuts... I'd be interested to hear from someone that has gone through high anxiety and made it to 90 or 180 days PM free to see if its something that goes away

interesting from your point, because from what I have read abstaining from pmo/mo tends to help anxiety.i have had a lot of anxiety in public but I have noticed I am slightly more confident around people and in public since I have abstained from fapping.but everyones case is different so stay strong!

I've been reading lots online about anxiety and some site recommend supplementing magnesium, calcium and zinc, anybody tried that?
