    Hey guys,
I am 19, Catholic, and tired of battling this and want to finally conquer it. I am very much into my faith, going to daily mass, praying in adoration, going to confession (more than I'd like to say haha) but I have had a hard time shaking this sin. I've had periods of abstaining from PMO but none lasted longer than 1 month. I figured I would look into this community because a) it can't hurt, b) it will help keep me more accountable, and most importantly c) I want to be able to give back to this community to help others in my shoes.

I already posted my AP request in the appropriate area, so if you'd like to be my AP look at that thread.

Welcome to Nofap. I am actually a catholic priest. No, I don't experience addictions, etc, and only joined the past week because just checking the site, I think it's actually quite....marvellous. There is an honesty here, and genuine support, and I would recommend anyone struggling with pornography etc to become part of this place. I do wish you all the very best for your journey to become a happier, more whole, human being. I hope the priests you are seeing are verysensible and caring. All I can tell you is that by being positive about the gifts God has given you, and daring to believe at every momemnt that you are called always to a new and more abundant life, good things are in store for you. I hope you make many friends here who will support you; do not be disheartened by setbacks, but keep being brave always! With many prayers and blessings, and a happy sense of humour about life's absurdities as well. M.

Thank you Father. Much appreciated. Thankfully the priests I see are very sensible and caring. In fact I have such good examples of priests in my life that I think God wants me to pursue the priesthood, or at least go to seminary. I have just got to get a handle on this stuff and strengthen my will. I meet with my spiritual director regularly who is in a religious order (not at my parish), have a "backup" (if you will) main confessor at my parish, and have a few other mentors who I can look up to for advice and support. God has really blessed me with all of the people He has put in my life. Please keep me in your prayers and I will keep you in mine. God Bless.

    Hi Father,

Thanks for being here and making yourself known. This thing is a scourge - please remember us at Mass.

Welcome, brother. God has recently blessed me with a good AP, and I pray the same for you x
