    Hello!! NoFap Community,
I recently joined this community after I read some article on some popular website. The article was about a teenager who was addicted to porn/masturbation and had a very dull and low-life but after joining this community he got motivated and started to do this PMO thing(which I am not aware of). After resisting masturbation for nearly 3 years he is now well developed in his life.

Seeing this article I was so anxious to join and be a member of NoFap community because I can relate to that teenager in so many ways. Well,I started masturbating since I was 15 years old as a result I was getting addicted to it pretty quickly. At age 17 I had my first relationship which ended quickly because I was unable to get affectionate in my relationship due to addiction. After some time, I was totally neglecting to be in a relationship as I was happy jerking off in my bedroom, to be frank,I was jerking twice in a day which means 60 times a month. So due to this addiction I had a very dull life with few friends, loneliness, failures in studies etc. And now at the age of 21, I am experiencing a serious hair fall since 3 years(which now have gotten worse) and also have an underweight/healthy body. I also had a thought of getting into a relationship to stop my masturbation but after few rejections, I decided not to head that way instead I should focus on my career first.

But after having series of failures I couldn't control my stress and depression which then results in having to urge for masturbation. And that is why I need some serious help from you guys!

Hey dude, I can empathise with u. I was into this habit from last 15 years and when i came to know about it, i was devastated. Then i came to know about reboot. It took me 1.5 months to finally start a streak of no PMO and i successfully completed 200 days of no PMO. It was a great feeling but a small mistake and i was again pulled back into this pit. I relapsed after a successful 200 days of no PMO. And i am struggling since last one year with relapses. Even now its been only 2 days since i last PMOed. Its a vicious circle, we relapse, get depressed and self loath. And our minds tricks us again to porn to remove that depression. The reason is that our mind is so much familiar with our habit to remove depression through PMO that whenever we get depressed or are stressed, the only thing that comes to our mind to relieve them is PMO. And i hope u know that strong rush going through our body when it demands for a PMO session, it overcomes all other feelings and emotions. And when trying to get rid of this, u relapse & then u realise that your mind has tricked u again and instead of relieving stress we are more stressed and depressed and feel hopeless. I have been through this feeling many times and trust me, the urge to PMO always overcomes other feeling. The only way is not to think of porn in any situation however bad it is, even thinking of refraining from porn leads to porn and finally a relapse. Just say no,talk to yourself that why are you doing this , is it worth your time and life. Remember even a single peek to a hot pic leads to relapse, Its like flash coming and hitting u, you wont even know what just happened and how you ended up with a relapse. Stay strong and keep your mind off porn and just involve it in making your life better.Hope it helps. Stay strong.

So it looks like the other parts of your life cause you to fap and the complacency that you feel upon fapping causes the other parts of your life to get worse. This is a tough cycle, but it is not an unbreakable one. If you are chronically fapping, then you can cut down on how much you do so by identifying and eliminating the cause of your porn use.

Well, you have identified the cause (loneliness, stress). The next step is to change your schedule/lifestyle to make sure that you feel less lonely and stressed. For instance, you can volunteer at a hospital or a soup kitchen and meet new people, and you can join a study group to know your schoolwork better, which would make you less stressed. I firmly believe that doing things like this, combined with applying a bit of willpower, will make quitting porn a more fulfilling experience.

    All the best,
    Jacob-Admiral for /r/Heirs_of_the_Sun. Have a great day!

Hey! I can totally relate with you.I have been into this for so long that I don't even remember when it all started.I'm 21 now.I've been watching porn since I was 15.Too much of it.The only difference would be that I was a good student in my school so this addiction couldn't completely ruin me.Lately I am more into really grossy and kinky stuff.Saturated with porn.My life sucks.I have been doing it from 2 to over 20 times a day since last 3 years I guess. Most people don't believe it.I just wish good for you.I'm here to get help and help others too.I guess we're all for the same purpose. To achieve a better self.Just keep in touch.Keep posting reading and motivating others.Cheers!

You just gave words to my condition.I've not been a part of this community but I have tried more than 100 times and have failed again and again. The urge is irresistible. I don't know why I fall into the same pit again and again even when I know it's bad. This community is my Last hope. This is day 1.I just want you to start again too. You're stronger if you did 200.That's really amazing.I know you'll do it again.Happy life!

I know that the urge is irresistible but thats the thing we have to fight with. But not by focusing on the fight but focusing on our life and trying to make it better day by day. That is why it is called as an addiction because even knowing that it is bad for us, we fall for it. As per my previous experience, first 15-20 days are very important in a reboot because after that it becomes slightly easy to crush the urges and eventually they weaken. But most important thing is that we must concentrate on important things in our life rather only focusing on not to PMO. It will eventually lower your interest in this bad habit. I have been there and trust me it is a wonderful feeling to get rid of this habit. Stay strong.

That is your perception - masturbation is irresistible. But the reality is that you can resist masturbation as others have. :)

I only wanted to tell how trapping this thing is that it becomes irresistible to avoid it if you let yourself get fooled by your mind. It's been years and our minds get programmed like that.Obviously it is not impossible to resist it.It's just hard and that's where this community might prove really useful.People like me who have failed to overcome our weaknesses, this is a great place to get support as well as feel responsible for others too. It's really helping me since 2 days.Hope it stays like that. Thanks

Can I ask you a question
as I see you had a long streak of 211 days then reset then began another one that I hope to be much longer
the question is did you feel some improvement after your 211 days and if so did these improvements last after your relapse
    thank you

Relapsed relapsed relapsed....but why? you should always remember each and every second the purpose why you start this NoFap life lstyle...No PMO should be like a burning fire with in the veins for the beginners... just imagine the benifits of no pmo...and try to fantasie these benifits...think that you are unique...and set a strong goal..try to work on it...In fact as you are in the begning stage i give my personal advise to self satisfy your brain..WHENEVER YOU ARE REALLY REALLY URGED JUST SWITCH ON TV OR PC WATCH ANY SONG OR PROGRAMME OF ANY LADY ARTISTS AND LOOK AT THE BEAUTY OF THOSE ARTISTS AND ADMIRE IT FEEL IT AND JUST THINK ABOUT THE ONE OF THE BENIFITS OF NoFap THAT YOU CAN ATTRACT MORE GIRLS LIKE THOSE BY HOOKING UP TO NoFap LIFE STYLE.ALL I NEED TO TELL IS SATISFY YOURSELF BY ONE WAY OR THE OTHER .THIS WILL EVENTUALLY HELPS TO GET OUT OF PMO AT THE SAME TIME WHEN YOU ARE GETTING SATISFIED TRY TO IMAGINE YOUR FUTURE TO THE BENIFITS OF NoFap.
