What should my goal be, starting off on nofap?

    So ive been aware of nofap for a while but have never taken the initiative. That is, until things went downhill. I spend close to an hour a day watching p, and this has resulted in late nights. It now takes me a long time to reach an o, and ive started to objectify women.
    So I finally decided to start on this journey. I have no clear goal as of now, any suggestion? should i do a 30 day challenge, or something like that? need all the motivation from your side. this forum is my accountability partner to abstain from pmo.

    start off small man. Everyday you go without fapping is an accomplishment, especially when you're first starting out

    I agree, you must start with realistic goals.

    As important is making a list of triggers to avoid. If you don't consciously know what they are you can't avoid them.

    Also, have a list of things to do that will distract you from your urges. You have to have a plan in advance, however.

    Here's what has helped me, but there are many more suggestions on this site if you look for them.

    - Whatever time you spend with friends and family -- double it. That has been amazingly uplifting for me. When I'm with others, I don't feel the urge to sneak off and find porn.

    - Get outside. Being outside more is amazingly helpful for me. Something about natural light gives me a boost

    - If you don't exercise daily -- start now. If you do already -- double-down. In addition to helping with my reboot, the extra exercise has helped me continue some ongoing weight loss. Double benefit!

  5. It sounds silly, NMN, but do what works... Some people love big goals, sometimes going "one day at a time" is the best way. My personal way is to consider this an irrevokable step away from porn - you're through with it forever - but handle the quitting one day at a time as you start.

    Er, no, you're going to need at plenty of motivation of your own. You have some good reasons for quitting. Commit to being something better. Find some positive things to aim for.
