Back from the army

Hello again nofap community. So I am the guy who went to serve his country for a year. It was definitely an interesting experience to be in an infantry unit with men from all walks of life. Where else can you build a machine gun bunker with an athlete, a former drug addict, an enterpreneur and a boy who just finished highschool, if not in the army? I am writing this thing on two subjects: firstly 11 months from nofap perspective and secondly overall experiences what army may and may not do to a young man like me. So, if you are willing, join me and hopefully you learn something new. Before I start, I must say that I became a junior sergeant and my main task was to get ammunition, food, water and equipment for about 40 men.

Abstaining from masturbation has never been easier! It is particulary easy when the environment is new. There is little to no privacy at all. No women around. And most importantly- no internet. Not once did I fap in the barracks, in the forest nor on the battlefield. Sex is the last thing on your mind when you are on field exercises. You are starving, exhausted, angry, wet and cold. I remember the winter, when in was so cold you couldn’t sleep and you had to cuddle with other guys. Some prefered to walk around the trenches for the whole night just to get warm. And did I say- no women in sight? There were moments when you didn’t get a close look on a girl for months, so at one point I seemed to forget that there were females living on this planet as well. As conscripts we sometimes got two day leaves on weekends. So we could see our family, friends and the civilian life. It is difficult to explain how beatiful girls seemed when I first got out. Like an animal, I could smell them far away. I was about to have an heart attack when I asked a girl for a dance. My heart and apparently my penis found it very difficult to handle it when she put her arm on my shoulder. But everything was not good on leaves. I relapsed couple of times. It was very difficult not to watch porn when it is on your fingertips and you have not been on internet for months. Most guys party on these two day leaves as hard as they can just to forget the stress. So did I. Drugs, alcohol and one night stands. I cannot even remember these girls’ first names. Having sex when on acid can be a cunfusing experience. The douchebag i have become… Sex drive was on ultimate high when on the leaves and on ultimate lows when back in the barracks. But on the good side 30 and 60 days of being completely free from the fap demon were normal. My streaks have steadily become longer. The compulsory army service made me a stronger fapstroaut. I am sure about it.

Okay, now on the things aside from nofap. With the sergeant rank came the responsibility. It was very stressful at times to lead and equip 40 men. Luckily I had 3 truck at my disposal to move manpower and ammo. I became used to yelling at my soldiers and punishing them. But then again in the army things work like that. Captain yells at the lieutenant. The lieutenant yells at the sergeant and the sergeant yells at the private. I am not sure if I came out a stronger and better person but I have learned to value the luxuries of civilian life. Think about it. It is good to have a shelter, food on the table and shower to wash yourself whenever you feel the need. Most people ( and me ofcourse) tend to forget these little things. Another interesting experience was testing your absolute limits. In december we were given a map and a destination. We marched for three days straight. Distance was about 110 kilometers. No sleep for 72 hours. I have never been so exhausted. My feet were bleeding. During the last night marching in cold forests I started to hallucinate pretty vividly. The moment you shut your eyes for a second you were dreaming and when you reopened them, the reality and dreams mixed together.

Finally I must say it is good to be back. And I relapsed when I got out. It takes time to get used to all the pretty girls around you. But then again. Fapstronaut must not surrender to these porn demons. So now I am again starting over (on day 27 at the moment). After being on numerous field exercises with german, US, dutch, latvian, lithuanian and british troops I realised how exciting and full of opportunities the world can be. So why waste your precious time on watching some other guy banging a girl you fancy on the computer.
