I have k9 web protection installed which worked wonders for ages, and i decided to pirate a film on pirate bay (Dont judge lol) and had to install a dns server to torrent which i didn't realise could allow me to look at porn easily. Whats the best way to stop being able to change to a dns server?

K9 has saved my life. I made sure that I registered it to a made-up e-mail address before creating a random which I then destroyed. If you follow those steps, make sure you add all troublesome sites to the blacklist and wait a week before destroying your password. There's no going back!

The most effective way to get rid of internet pornography is to simply eliminate internet altogether, however in some cases internet is a necessity so there's that.

K9 has been extremely effective for me, I think it really depends on how bad someone is on the "curiosity" spectrum, if you are just one of those people (like me) that can't resist, then you have to go to extreme lengths in order to stop watching porn. To put this into perspective, originally I would just block porn/nudity on the categories list, then I found out that I could view porn on just about any social media or blog or image related site, so I ended up blocking all that too, and now I decided to get rid of search engines entirely, because all of them pretty much have some kind of image search capacity and so I can find lots of porn that way. I'm only an extreme case though, most likely don't have to be anywhere near as strict.

There are also programs you can use that allow other people to look at your search history and block sites and stuff likely that (covenant eyes I believe does this) however they require some kind of money, which may or may not matter to you.
