ok, weird topic I know, but all of these super honest discussions and retrospective insights kinda bring me back to those coming-of-age years. I'm curious what your thoughts are. When I was in my teens, I suddenly became very aware of my pubes and had no idea what the social norm or standard was for grooming or trimming or shaving down there was. When I asked my friends, all of them had COMPLETELY different advice. I saw guys being completely shaved in porn, so I tried that for a while. I'm married now, so I basically just go with what my wife likes, which is basically periodically buzzed, never shaved. So my question is: How did you come to the conclusion on how to groom down there? Personal preference, your friends told you, porn, a girl said something?
lol I wanted to post a similar thing but I came by this. The fact is I just shaved my gear to 0 and I have never done it that way before. I have no girlfriend, I am still underage and never talked to anyone about that stuff. The only thing that would suggest something was of course porn but that is certainly not something you want to follow. So I never did that followed by anyone's advice. And although I sometimes am getting more haunted by urges than ever when my balls are itching and iritating, It is my personal preference to have these trimmed, I am (or was) a swimmer whose swimsuit would tug your hairy balls all the time, and that was driving me crazy. I also feel more "free" that way. I cut myself 3 times there and none of these were by a blade... I need to use less shitty trimmer.
Dude, the first time I shaved down there with a razor was the freaking worst. I must have nicked myself like 8 times. And those cuts get irritated all day. Nothing like mowing the lawn with sweaty, burning balls. I'll still shave down there from time to time, though it's usually only the balls/shaft. I'll leave the pubic area trimmed down neatly. Quick tip, in my personal experience, women's body/leg razors are far more....forgiving....down there than men's facial razors.
I buzz it short with hair clippers on lowest setting. Because if I leave it too long hair gets into my foreskin and it gets itchy. That's the reason. I started to trim it when it started to grow too long at my late puberty. Simply for practical reasons, to get rid of annoying discomfort. I have had it clean shaven a few times tho. Kinda made me feel more sexy. I guess it's because that's what I saw mostly in porn. Everybody's clean shaven there. Well, a huge majority anyways. So I associate it with being sexy. I don't really care enough to maintain that look tho. I would consider it maybe if my girl asks me to, other than that I don't really care about particular look there. It's just for practical reasons.
Seriously? I then think that I acheved mastery equal to those of women (yes, swimmers shave legs too) I did it today with a disposable (I admit I was worried about bleeding out for a while), no cuts other than those made by that trimmer, which just happened to yank my precious nuts so horribly that I will never use it again. Perhaps I will just shave it all the way from now, no pre shave trimming. Shugi Shugi, I also feel more sexy that way with well cared gear, but I eradicated the thought of it being followed by what I saw on porn. It's true to me that it looks bigger, but what I like most is no iritation when you wear tight things (swimsuits!) and lack of this horrible odor that would kill a skunk.
I always thought shaved looked best myself, but my wife seems to think that complete baldness looks "boyish". Of course, she's the oldest of 5 kids, and all of her siblings were brothers. No doubt she changed a lot of diapers. She tells a hilarious story where her youngest brother, 6 years old at the time, found a tick attached to his sack and was screaming and freaking out. Her brothers were, of course, hysterically laughing and her mom was at the store. Since he wouldn't calm down, she had to remove it for him . She described it as one of the most disgusting things she's ever had to do lol
I got tired of itching and the awkwardness of shaving, so I've ordered some sugar wax. I think it's a stupid idea but I'm going to try it anyway I will update you.
I personally just never liked the hair on my body, I don't have regular length hair either, I'm hairy as hell all over (with exception to back) and so I have always felt really insecure about it. I honestly have no idea how to shave all the hair on my body off, nothing seems to be fast and efficient enough to use on my body. Now as for pubes specifically, I use an electric hair trimmer every once in a while a whack it off, feels so much cooler down there too
