I've been talking to a therapist. She recommends that take anti depressants. Could taking anti-depressants help me stop PMO. Every time you PMO it releases an anti-depressant into your brain. Your body can become dependent on that anti-depressant if you are depressed. Your body gets used to it and craves it, its a habit and an addiction. so just like smokers wearing the patch or using vape pens to stop smoking and easing themselves off a drug. Couldn't taking anti-depressant medication substitute my brains need for PMO and help me quit?
I did suffer from depression for a long time, and I still have suicidal thoughts every once and a while (just for fun lol) so I do have some experience with this. My advice: seek other ways to fight your depression before you take anti depressants, anti depressants have a wide range of side effects and so they shouldn't be taken lightly. Exercise, working, hobbies, friends/family/lovers and so on can all help you overcome it naturally. As for anti depressants helping with Nofap? have no clue. Don't have any real experience with it. Gotta say that it could end up helping you to an extent, like if you were in a real negative place it could encourage you to seek PMO to get out of it, at the same time it could just make you completely dependent on anti depressants (those who take anti-depressants are said to feel less happiness in the long run than those who don't) which would be bad because you would feel unable to resist PMO without it (making you always porn addiction prone)
DON'T TAKE IT. There isn't a single person in the world who benefited from anti-depressants. You're body will actually become addicted to that medication.
