Cold showers in winter time anyone?

    Hey guys. I've lived in New Hampshire for the last 20 years and ever since I've been on Nofap, I've been doing cold showers here and there. It's not the most exciting thing at first, but man, you certainly feel better afterwards. Just a question, has anyone taken cold showers in the winter time? I've done it on several occasions and it's a whole another level of cold. And no, you won't get hypothermia when you're outside as long as you bundle up. If there's anybody who's been crazy enough to do this like I did, let me know. I'm just curious.

    Right there with you lads! Two weeks of them so far. I've been taking them in the AM after I get home from the gym, starting to look forward to them now. I love how I feel afterwards!

    The winter season for me is just getting started. I'm planning to take cold showers more often to improve my endurance to the frigid air. There's just so many benefits to cold showers. Good job guys!

    Same here. Cold showers in winter - no problem at all. I just turn the knob to the left and stay there for 3min - works amazingly!

    I've done it a few times too recently - I had two yesterday! One when I finished yoga practice at the gym and another one after the jacuzzi and sauna post workout. The feeling you get afterwards is so good. Testosterone spikes all round!

    I love cold showers in the summer, but my heat doesn't work so well (I live in Maryland) so cold showers in the winter are too brutal.

    Hey man, don't be shy. I'm actually starting all over again. There are so many ways you can begin. Last year, I just turned on the shower to cold, but didn't jump right in. I had to start off slow, and before I knew it, I was taking cold showers for several minutes just by standing there. Or try this!! Take a warm shower to start off, then at the end, turn the water on to cold and stay there for as long as you can. The next time you take a shower, turn the water to cool before you turn it to cold. These are just ideas. For me, since it's winter time again, I'm trying to get into the habit of taking cold showers when the temperature outside is already frigid. If I can do it, so can you!! Take some of my advice. And as they say, the more the cold, the better the results.

    Thanks for the advice, but it's too cold in my apt for cold showers - so I have no interest in doing so. When it's warmer outside, I take cold showers all the time, no matter how uncomfortable.

    I am too much of a pussy to do cold showers at the moment. Sometimes I am already feeling cold while I am sleeping, and jumping into a cold shower afterwards feels too damn brutal. Yeah, excuses, I know... but brrrrr... it's just so damn cold :D I live in Germany. I will change this when spring is coming.

    Never one to knock anyone or anything but whats with everyone cold showering? Lol to resist urges or something haha? I feel as though after a warm shower im just relaxed and ready to do other activities. Maybe im just a wuss haha

    I read an article that said by willingly putting yourself in an uncomfortable position (cold shower) you train yourself to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations or to at least not shy away. If true, that is pretty powerful

    I took cold showers throughout October 26 and December 31. Once January hit, the cold water became too much for me to handle. I'm just taking warm showers now. I will say though - cold showers are great when you're going through the first two months of NoFap which are, in my opinion, the most difficult to get passed.

    It seems harmless enough. I've never given much thought to doing cold showers. I guess you can't knock it til you try it. I'll give it a go and see how it works out. It might be a bit of a shock after a hard workout going from hot to super cold but it would help to cool down quickly :eek: I live in Florida so I can't complain about the cold winters too much.

    Yeah, the weather in Florida is quite hot most of the time. Once I moved to the Washington Metropolitan Area - the weather became noticeably colder in the winter.
