    Hello Xander,

I have been watching porn intensively for six years. Since 6 weeks I have had no porn, no masturbation. I also have the problem that I dream twice a week of scenes from my porn movies. But after two weeks without porn I didn't get a boner. I wrote this in another thread and one answer was that the dreams and the "sexual numbing" could be effects of a withdrawal. My feeling is- even if you don't watch porn the stuff you have seen is in the brain for a long time. If you don't watch porn the brain remembers the old stuff that is saved in mind. Sexual dreams and a boner after that are a normal thing. And don't worry- you have NO reason to reset your counter. Even a spontaneous orgasm when you dream is no need to reset. You can't control that dreams, to get a boner or to shoot a load when you sleep. You don't stimulate your penis and so there is NO reason to reset the counter.

I don't know if there is a correlation between porn, masturbation and acne. In my youth I had problems with acne. Even now in an age over 40 I have sometimes acne. My doc said that a higher level of testosterone could encourage acne. So maybe if you constantly stimulated by porn there could be a higher level of testosterone and a higher risked of acne. But acne has also something to do with what you eat (too much fat, too much albumin) I would say. Genetic disposition has got also influence of the risk of acne they say. So there are some factors with influence of acne. And so it is not so easy to say - no porn, no masturbation is similar to no or less acne.

    These are good points Berlinbaer,

from how I see it, the brain uses dreams to process events into their resting places. When you have a porn-like dream, be excited, as it's not a sign of a problem, actually it's your brain reliving it and then letting it rest. Just don't introduce any new porn into the mind that it has to work out in dreams later.

I saw the dreams of porn scenes as a problem. But you are right- processing experiences in dreams is healthy. And it will be part of the rewiring of the brain during no POM. I hope I will stay strong against the temptation of porn- even if it is a daily fight.

Same thing here. I think it's because of a sexual fantasy I had, no P then I just suddenly got triggered into it. Don't know if OP is like me but I think it doesn't count unless it triggers you into action. Like me.

Sebum is is a fluid that comes out of your pores, and what increases seven output is testosterone.

What also increases sebum production is dairy.

Cut dairy, and channel your testosterone into activities both physical and mentally stimulating. Run, swim, lift, build things, learn something new, keep your hands busy and mind challenge.

Idle hands are the devil's workshop

Maybe its just me, but I had dreams where I was watching porn. Not even seeing it, but rather booting up my computer and see a site a famous site open. The way i see it its our brain processing information, and it will eventually go away when there is no more fuel to feed its flames. Keep trying my friend, you will get through this.

Dreams are simply your subconscious trying to work through issues that your waking mind doesn't want to deal with. They cannot be taken literally most of the time and you shouldn't worry about them. Sexual dreams are a natural part of life, and you're probably going to have more of them in the early stages quitting porn as your brain isn't getting the sexual high it was used to while you are awake. Enjoy them but remember to be strong when you wake up.
