M, If you're asking this question you might want to revisit Rebooting Basics under Porn Addiction: http://www.nofap.com/porn-addiction/ The do's and don't's are numerous and if you've been at this for over 30 days you know a lot of them. Don't go to porn sites Do eliminate temptations Don't do the things you used to do to PMO. Do find new outlets to meet people, cultivate hobbies and interests. Don't allow fantasies to get out of hand... that's funny. Do look for ways to do personal development Don't make yourself bad and wrong for having an addiction. Do come to this site to read, post and share. What else can you think of? *B49*
Thanks but i still get temptation .my addicted brain always try to make me fall but until now iam strong and i will keep fighting.
M, How about first accepting the fact that you (and I) have addictive personalities. We crave the dopamine buzz and will compromise ourselves to get it. Getting an addict off their choosen "drug" is rough work. It took me years to get off cigarettes and I hated myself every time I started up again. Kept at it and finally put them down for good Dec. 23, 2003. (Got an anniversary coming up.) Keep coming back here, share as much as you can. You can do this with a little help from your friends. *B49*
That's a good list, especially "Do find new outlets to meet people, cultivate hobbies and interests." I think this is really the key, we need ways to fight boredom and keep from looking at P for our excitement. I don't have anything else to add, but thanks for the post.
