I used to be a pretty big stoner however I have cut back a lot. I maybe only smoke once or twice a week now, but I’d like to cut it out for good. I think that for now I need to limit my substance use to low amounts of alcohol. I was watching porn a while back and the ad before the video was for a service that delivers weed. Something in my brain clicked that they know to advertise on that site because most people who are addicted to porn also smoke a lot of weed. The two acts go hand and hand. This made me think about the other people in my life who smoke a lot. Most are depressed or aren’t going anywhere in life (this isn’t to say that all people that smoke are like this or that you can’t have a healthy relationship with weed). So I’m going to try and cut weed out entirely until I can get my addiction under control. It makes me lazy and feel shitty and want to relapse. I really just need to keep a clear head and focus on improving myself.

I smoke everyday I'm a person who is not going anywhere in "life" in this matrix. However it's has been 189 days since I stopped watching porn/ fapping/ orgasm. It took me 20 years to make it this far you shouldn't be hard on yourself. I dropped every addiction I had except for weed. I' don't think I will ever stop smoking, its something I been doing on/off since I was 14. What I am try to say is we all have our poison, everybody is addicted to something. Someone tell you otherwise, they lying out they ass. Find something positive to be addicted to. If you feeling like weed is hindering your progress then you need to cut it out completely. When you go back to something you try to quit it never gets any better.

This is the best thing you can do bro. Don't fall on the trap, weed is not a ''light drug'' like some people say. I see people who use weed have serious side effects that they don't realize.

Most of them have bad memory, laziness, depression, anxiety and can be easily addicted to other compulsive behaviours. I have been realizing that when people stop using this drug, theyr views on the world change radically. It's like this thing was brainwashing them and they couldn't think well.

I’ve noticed I have less brain fog, and feel less anxious and depressed when I don’t smoke. I know cutting out weed won’t fix everything but I think it’s a good start.

Keep going brother. One day and one step at a time. Beating addictions and bad habits is a slow and rewarding process.

I know a lot of people who can be abstinent for a long time because they smoke weed regularly. It definitely gives them an outlet or something, or maybe it just reduces sexual drive for them. I don't know which is better, masturbation makes you weak, but smoking weed also makes you lazy and unaware of your surroundings. So either option makes you very vulnerable. There are definitely people who are 100% sober and successful, though they may be addicted to money or success. The effort to improve oneself, though, can't be looked down upon, can it? Even if every does have that one vice, isn't trying to be the best person you can be part of life?

I "belong" to a category of people that is naturally adverse to smoking weed, and I will say, if you stop the habit, you will be a lot less annoying and burdensome to the sober people around. Its good that you are trying to quit, @Realcaveman, it is commendable.

Now I do agree with he lazy part. It helps me tap me into the spiritual realm. In fact it makes me hyperventilate of my surroundings. I smoke to calm down them monster erections that spiral out of control lol. Everyone/Everything doesn't have good intention for you, Nor do they want to see you doing better. Yeah its alot sober successful people but are they spiritually enlighten? Are they rich in personality? They choose to chase after material things in this matrix. I choose to fulfill my spirituality AKA 3rd Eye.
