fuck i messed again

    shit again in day 1 the hardest challenge is now to wait the days to get streak going again but at day 4 the urge comes and this is my loop what the fuck should i do

    Stay calm.
    Focus on something else like what targets you can set to endure and consider. As you said, it's ur day 4 so do have a short term goal to pass a week free from thinking about woman and feeling any sort of libido or arousal etc can help you not fall. Afterwards you'll shine. Believe in your best self. T care!

    Hello,
    I don't like streak counting because of this. It makes the progress you made feel like nothing, and puts you in a feeling like you're back at square one. You had a good streak going, and you've made serious progress in the 4 days you abstained from PMO. That is not gone because you had one moment in the wrong direction. I personally give myself points. I take away a point if I have a bad day, and gain one if I abstain. I personally feel like this helps me, but certainly there's no golden way to do this.

    You're making progress, so keep going. It's not reasonable to expect to bench-press 100 lbs as soon as you start working out. Few people can do that. What you can do is lift a small amount of weight and then slowly increase the amount of weight you lift, over the course of 5-6 months, for example. The same is true of masturbating. You may not be able to make it 90 days of no PMO, but you can make progress. You said that you made it a few days, so that's progress. Just keep going it little by little.

    If you're struggling to get past day 4, then don't reach day 4 in your streak. That sounds odd, but let me explain. I'm assuming you get through 3 days with no problem, but on that 4th day the urges kick in again. So set your first goal for 3 days. When you wake up on day 4, tell yourself, literally speak it out load, "Today is day 1 of no porn. The goal is 3 days." Keep reminding yourself if you have to, that you're not on day 4 but day 1. Reach that goal of 3 days, and reset yourself mentally again to day 1.

    Don't think of it as a failure. Start trying to look at every slip as an opportunity to learn more about yourself.

    What's happening around Day 4? Rarely are we "just doing fantastic" and then BOOM, off on a PMO binge. Usually, if you pay attention, you'll recognize the signs of imminent danger. I call them "the little cracks in the dam." It's like you're driving, and all of the sudden, the wheels feel wobbly, or the engine sounds just a little different than it did yesterday. As Day 4 arrives, do you find yourself entertaining thoughts that aren't helping you? Are you looking at social media content that's sexually triggering, but dismissing it because "at least it's not porn?"

    As an addict, it's easy to slip into autopilot, where you're just doing things without thinking about them. Work on being intentional about being mentally present, and actually thinking about the decisions you make. And just keep recovery front-and-center in your thinking.
