Twitter is dangerous

Well done, same should be done with Instagram and Facebook and Snapchat

 

Twitter? More like EX formally known as Twitter…AMIRITE?!

 

I think Instagram is the worst of the bunch (heavy visual stimulus, algorithm devolves into just showing skin and skin-like textures). Same with facebook and TikTok algos. But yes Twitter onlyfans is hugely triggering.

I’ve set a limit on all of them to max 1 min a day (instagram) and only slightly more for the others.

 

I gave up all social media long ago. Twitter was one I'd still occasionally browser for the discussion, often lead in from a web search, but it has been fraught with X-rated content for years(unintended pun, by me at least, maybe intended by Elon). Now I just have it blocked completely.
The O.F. trend only made the online terrain worse. Members spread "breadcrumbs" everywhere now. Bots have made it extremely ubiquitous. Where there is money to be made, the morally corrupt will be there. As AI advances, this will only become more prevalent. I think for those of us who are aware and vigilant there won't be much of a change. For kids though, it's so hard to keep them from running into it, not w/o very stringent and tech savvy parents. It is also normalizing it to a remarkable degree. That's why recovery sites like this give me hope. If a small subgroup of men and women can actually overcome the issue in their own lives, then at least there will be guideposts showing that there is another way of life than virtual sexual enmeshment. In our current society, I feel we have to learn to be smarter than our biology, because at the end of the day, that is what is being taken advantage of to get us addicted to their "products".

 

In all honesty, I haven't used Twitter for a VERY LONG time, given that I've practically given up all social media at this point. I find the website to be extremely unproductive, attracting the worst kind of people who have very little quality to contribute. I have no regrets leaving that site, and I have zero desire to go back.
