This is a very common withdrawal symptom. I went through extreme withdrawals, and this happened to me on and off for close to two years. And one thing that makes it so much worse is relapsing.

Your digestive system will get better; you just have to abstain for a long period of time without relapsing. My digestive system is pretty much back to normal now.

Yes, rebooting is a very slow process, and it took me a long time to make this much progress. It's just something that you have to be patient with if you want to persevere. There are no cures that are quick and easy.

Yeah, PMO addiction affected my digestion to the point where I looked quite gaunt and unhealthy. That's no longer a problem at all.

  14. Happy for you. I'm still in that state personally and hope to make some strides toward a more healthy appearance. I'm currently on my longest streak of abstinence in months and hopeful that I can keep it going. Approximately how long did it take for you to notice a positive change in your appearance and/or muscle tone?

I'd say it was around a year, but it could have been slightly longer. I was a severe addict for a long time though.

  16. I've been edging for 2 decades with an average ejaculation rate of anywhere between 4-7x per week. I imagine it'll take me just as long.

  17. Do you suspect that your PMO habit brought on and/or exacerbated your food intolerances? I had some panels run by a natural doctor several years ago and found that I too have food intolerances. This was kind of shocking because no one in my family has ever had anything even remotely similar. Since then, I've eaten no dairy, no grains/gluten, no soy, no corn. I didn't eat potatoes (sweet potatoes were an exception) for a year or two but reintroduces them at some point. I personally suspect my PMO and edging habits caused this.

Damn right about that. We're on our own. The sooner we realize that once and for all, the better off we'll be.

Let me share with you a cold hard truth. If you keep relapsing for many years or even decades, you quite literally commit a slow suicide. This may sound exaggerated but it is not. Nothing in life is ever free. If you don't eat, you die. If you don't breath, you die. If you don't sleep, you die. Everything is governed by invisible rules, limitations, checks and balances in this physical reality. Everything is conditional and unforgiving. Reproduction is not an exception.

The disposable soma theory of ageing and the expensive germline hypothesis are evolutionary theories that provide insights into the allocation of resources (nutrients) within an organism. The disposable soma theory suggests that an organism allocates resources to maintenance and repair of the body (soma) and reproduction. According to this theory, resources spent on reproduction may come at the expense of somatic repair and maintenance. The expensive germline hypothesis extends this idea, proposing that the germline (cells that give rise to eggs or sperm) is particularly resource-demanding. In times of increased reproductive activity, resources may be redirected from somatic repair and maintenance, thus accelerating ageing of the body.

Each time you indulge in a sexual activity, you send a strong signal to the brain that your body has successfully achieved its ultimate genetic program - reproduction. If you do it often and long enough (e.g., thousands of times over the span of many years), you accelerate ageing and quite literally destroy your body. Why would your body keep producing loads of testosterone and upregulate your androgen receptors to maximize your health, looks and energy? You have achieved its ultimate objective for thousands of times. Your brain has no reason to prioritize repair and maintenance of the body thus making it disposable which opens it up to all kinds of degenerative processes, symptoms, diseases and ultimately premature death.

Ad libitum reproduction is not without a cost. Sexual intercourse is only legitimate for the purpose of procreation. In all other circumstances, you will inevitably suffer detrimental consequences in the long run.
