I know some of you guys may argue that focusing on content would take away from getting a 90 day streak or may contradict the fact that the movement is literally called nofap...hear me out.

So I relapsed today, although the thing is it wasn't so bad of a relapse because it was kind of an experiment; I decided to avoid porn like I did before and it was not such a horrendous relapse and I still felt ok apart from feeling a little bit drowsy.

The thing which makes fapping so terrible is the pornography added onto it; your fapping to unrealistic sex for your entertainment and getting a nice feeling from fapping to it even though the sex is fake. Most people don't realise that sex irl is really not as entertaining as it is in porn and it's comparable to how most people's parents did it which if you imagine is disgusting af lol. So my tip is to just get rid of porn and when you relapse next for whatever reason you will realise that the fapping itself is quite mundane and the urge isn't so terrible almost like as if the urge is for the porn aspect not for the fapping itself...at least that's how it was for me haha.

Also you don't need to reach 90 days in my opinion to be completely "rebooted" I think if to start to cut porn your going to notice the effects such as when I was thinking about how gross most of the porn I was jacking off to was; I kind of cringe but I was able to analyse how my poor mental health contributed to watching messed up porn to escape from all that.

That's something i also noticed : P is the real problem, M is neutral and never was something hurtful to me (of course it could be addictive but never was only by itself). Nofap in reality is more about not using porn because it still have the "easy mode", which is known to be only for absence of P consumption.

  3. Masturbation by itself is nowhere near as bad as porn but for many of us the two things are so closely linked that it's nearly impossible to do one without the other. Whenever I've tried to only masturbate I'm kidding myself, and end up watching porn soon after. I liken it to being a recovering alcoholic, while it's true that one drink won't by itself be harmful, it's not the drink itself that's the issue, it's what it will probably lead to. It's like that for me. I personally wish I was able to masturbate and not rely on wet dreams (which cause insane chaser effect for me) to get a sexual release but I just can't. Rather than bullshit myself I try to accept that it's cold turkey or nothing.

If I'm being honest, I don't think you realise how different irl sex is to porn especially considering internet porn is more extreme.

I'm willing to humiliate myself if it helps people

but I used to have an obsession with sissy hypno and wanting to be an independent beautiful transgender prostitute.

I was just using my libido to fixate on my desire to escape my problems which were plaguing me.

When I started dealing with my issues I realised how porn is really just entertainment with explicit sexual stuff in it to keep people hooked cause sex irl is just two people fucking and it's disgusting when you think about people who you know doing it.

So I guess if your going to relapse just do it to just normal porn or even just a woman from a magazine and then just use imagine a normal ass person for the next relapse and then you will realise how mundane sex is. If i'm being honest sex or wanking isn't the issue it's just the horrendous porn added to it.

You need to choose to realise how mundane sex and wanking really is.

I completely agree with this post, although from the OP and the most recent post I'm not sure if that's what the thread is about.
I disagree. I've never looked into fetish porn, I've even rarely seen hardcore porn. Porn is very addictive, and what you use, in my experience doesn't matter so much. You could masturbate to a hardcore porn video or to some sexy Instagram photos, and I don't think there is much of a difference.
Also, sex is mundane? [IMG] I think sex is a great gift. It is quite precious, and if it seems mundane, that might be the effect of porn.

  6. I have given up trying to stop masturbation. My longest streaks away from porn were the ones were I would masturbate if I had an urge to watch porn. The difficulty at the start is that masturbation on its own is really boring and this can make you want to use porn, but I noticed over time it got much better and in someways more enjoyable. For example: I noticed that masturbation to porn is just FRANTIC!, lots of searching, clicking, scrolling and trying to maintain the buzz. It makes me feel tense and for a long time after the session, whereas just masturbating without any stimulus is relaxing and intimate. It's more about feeling and of course afterwards there is not that sense of dread and my body is not tense but relaxed.

Humans have been masturbating since we arrived on this planet and we are also not the only species that do it. Porn is what is burning us out.

I know im going to offend so many people on here for saying this but i don't think jacking it occasionally is that bad. I mean im not saying "if you dont want to do it, do it" like obviously peoples addiction to this stuff is different like for me porn was the main issue but in terms of what I think is more harmful is porn cause based on my experience i have acted like an animal to people comparable to a crackhead on drugs on the street and drugs which i've tried are easy to quit compared to porn for me at least. Wanking by itself though is actually not that deep, like you jack off without porn is actually quite different and you properly realise the effects of jacking it more compared to doing it with porn where your just focused on catching a high.

Of couse there are those people who may be so addicted to jacking it even to the point where they dont need to porn; as in you could be walking on the street and suddenly you get the urge and you cant wait so you go to a public toilet just to stop the urge. I get those people will have to abstain so fair enough but for me porn is the main issue.

I meant sex is not what its like in porn. Sex is normally people doing it together in the bedroom but in porn it's
beasty babe with big ass tits gets rimmed fast while moaning heavily but somehow people don't hear
type shit i mean its in the name porn. Sex is just like how your uncle did it with your aunt and you would find that disgusting to think about right? but in porn is like considered extremely lustful.

I don't think I've found making love disgusting to think about since I was a child, to be honest. Porn is disgusting, sure, but healthy sex? No.
I don't think you'll offend too many people by saying that, as there's a pinned thread by the forum's creator expressing the same sentiment.

  10. Sorry, but at the end of the day, these “experiments” we do are still indeed resets, or whatever you call them. I also just wanted to “experiment” with no porn, and it was fine, until I actually began fapping regularly again afterwards.
