That is true. I'm not capable of knowing. It's just... I'm trying so hard. But as Dworkin did say, "Men know everything - all of them - all the time - no matter how stupid or inexperienced or arrogant or ignorant they are." In the end, I just don't get it. And it's not my fault, either, it's because I've been institutionalized as a male. You have only to look at the history to see, men have defined the parameters of every subject. All feminist arguments, however radical in intent or consequence, are with or against assertions or premises implicit in the male system, which is made credible or authentic by the power of men to name. It's like, men set up the rules of the game, and men can change the rules whenever they want, just so they can win and perpetuate violence against women. I have been inculcated in this system, acclimated to thinking I am right and logical even when I am wrong. So even when I try to get it right, there's a fair chance I'm not. The only way I can understand how life and gendered dynamics really work, the only way I can understand my own masculinity, the way I exist in the world, is if I abandon all notions of masculinity and understand it through the lens of feminism. It's just, it's really hard work because I have been so soaked in the patriarchal, misogynistic culture, I have no idea which of my ideas are toxic and which are based. I wanted to be strong, to defend women, for example. At one time in my life, I thought being an aggressive, even violent male was good. I thought having testosterone was good, because that enabled me to combat bad actors. But now I see that it only enables me to be the bad actor. So then I spent a brief period thinking I should simply stay quiet, but I have since learned silence is also violence. As in, lack of action is the same as perpetuating emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical harm on women. So that's why I'm trying to speak up. I'm not contradicting anything you are saying, because that would be wrong. All I'm doing is attempting to educate my fellow rapists (we're all porn addicts here, so by definition we are rapists), and I thank you for showing me how I'm wrong most of the time.

Ironically, by acting and responding the way you did, I think you are demonstrating exactly what Dworkin was highlighting : that men are incapable of accepting negative remarks about themselves, their masculinity, biological impulses and socialization from a woman. Whenever such cases happen, the woman making those remarks is immediately targeted by an intense backlash and vitriol that's founded on nothing besides the emotional impulse of the men who heard her observations.

that sounds extremely similar to you insisting that Dworkin actually believed that 'all intercourse is rape' (Men know everything - all of them - all the time), without you bothering to actually fact-check this idea (no matter how ignorant they are). The same could also be said about this :

I had thought "I (had forcible intercourse) with your mom" was an effective insult because it is directed at a male's masculinity
=> There's nothing in insults along the lines of "I F-ed your mother/sister" that implies non-consent from the part of the related woman.

=> What is true here is the fact that's it's used as an insult to related man's masculinity, not through implying that he failed to protect his relative from forcible intercourse, but by implying that his female relative (his property) has been defiled consensually.

So here you were just making an illogical conclusion based on an unfounded assumption : that forcible sex is what these insults are based upon.

What have I said that can be classified as intense backlash, vitriol, or emotionally impulsive? I think the fact that I have said nothing but supportive things for you and women in this thread, and my statements have only been received with skepticism, is evidence of how unreliable men really are. I mean, the norm for masculinity in modern society is phallic aggression, so radical feminist statements repeated by a male are received as sarcastic, disingenuous, vitriolic, and emotionally impulsive. I have a track record of misandry and self-loathing, though, so I don't know why you don't believe me.

I already explained myself on why I think your statements are just a disingenuous reframing of what radical feminists orginially meant to say. And I'm not going to repeat myself.

  7. "I literally want all men to die and create a lesbian communist utopia on the moon" - Andrea Dorkins. Yep I'm thinking (not)based.

What is it about Dworkin that makes many men enter into a state where all they can conjure to attack her are irrational ramblings without head nor tail ?

    You mean
    ?

If that's what it is, I think I know what's going on. As a male, I thought the word "fuck" did imply non-consent. Even if it didn't, though, it's a common insult and it's never said in a way that's nice, like, "Your mother and I are thinking about taking our relationship to the next level, and we want to know about your feelings on that front." It's always a game, between males, like "I sullied your goods, I get a point."

You are absolutely correct when you say male sexuality is intertwined with notions of power and dominance. Men don't just play the power/sex game between one another, they look at male/female relationships as an antagonistic duel in which one attempts to trick the other into giving them what they want. Males think women want to trap them into long term relationships where they will be expected to remain monogamous, and women will do this by trading their bodies often at first, and convincing the male that she is in love with him and this behavior will continue. Men suspect what she really plans is to slowly decrease the frequency of sex, or "putting out," as they call it, until she doesn't do it at all. The joke is on her, though, because as Dworkin observed, romantic love is really the mythic celebration of female negation, and as you observed, men have zero compunctions about seeing prostitutes. In fact, men admire other men who see prostitutes! Men do, however, take pity on other men who are tricked into marriage. Men believe they win the power/sex game by convincing the female to have sex with them, even when they don't plan to commit to a relationship. The only way a man believes a woman can win the game is if she doesn't give him sex, because after all, the one who gets penetrated loses.

I used to believe that women actually liked getting penetrated. That's how indoctrinated by porn I was.

  13. She also told me that she renounces her previous beliefs and to tell you personally that a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence and 2 children is the peak of human achievement and you should stop arguing with people on the internet about stuff she said in books nobody read 50 years ago.

Woah this is a long post but I didn't read all through it. I think one reason is microplastics? Researchers have found effeminating chemicals in rivers turning fishes gender the other way round - guess it'll do the same for humans, not literally though

Again this is you mischaracterising what she meant to say. She never implied that women didn't enjoy PIV sex, instead her focus was how PIV sex is viewed and the vocabulary associated with it. None of this is a relevant to whether women may physically enjoy the act or not.

    But yeah, keep entertaining me.

I never thought a simple remark on my part will trigger an ongoing, collective meltdown for days on end. All of you here truly have fragile egos, and it's entertaining to watch you pop up like fireworks.

The irony in you making this statement is quite something, given most of your posts, on most threads, are you consistently having a radical feminist meltdown. Must be all that testosterone in you.

But yes, of course you are right, our reaction and dismantling of your insane wish for men to be sickly by strategically reducing their testosterone, for an unproven fairytale, is completely our fragile ego at work. Yes, quite right.

All your insanity makes me think, somewhere out there, there's a tree working very hard to produce oxygen so that you can breathe. I think you should go and apologize to it, lest it decide to wither away in desperation.

Alas all good things must come to an end, you've been serenading us with a "good" story for a while now, but in what chapter do you stop mouthing up nonsense and move on?
