If we want a better life we have no option, we MUST change, there is no easy off ramp.
Let's be honest, nofap is probably the hardest thing you will do in your life, but it will completely change your attitude, life and future self.
Withdrawal is horrible, you are fighting your own brain, and it wants the floods of dopamine that porn gave it for all those years.
Your dopamine receptors have been burned out by the constant floods of porn dopamine, and so only huge burst of dopamine give you any sense of excitement at all.
Normal life pleasures feel humdrum and boring, and depression is usually present as well.
Also, you will probably have insomnia and who knows what other nasty little withdrawal surprises to deal with.
Everyone gets a personal grab bag of mental tortures while they are leaving the porn addiction behind.

But, if you can stay the course for 90 days, that is my opinion, and seems about average, you should leave most of these horrible symptons behind.
Your life will transform, it will be as if you are reborn as completely different person.

In my case, I completely lost any social anxiety, my character went from introvert to extrovert, I had women talking and smiling all the time, I became totally chill and unfazed by things that would have driven me crazy before.
In addition, I have so much energy, it is like I had a new generator installed in my body, it is just amazing.
Another thing that was very funny is that my penis became 2 inches longer during an erection, I kid you not.

This is wierd stuff, something that if you had a pill to do all those things you would be an overnight billionaire selling them.

But it is entirely free, but not really because you have to put in huge amounts of self discipline, courage, determination, acceptance that when you slip up or relapse that you not let it depress you or knock you off purpose.
In other words the cost is entirely in your own determination to change.
It may take 3 months, it may take 3 years with relapses, but if you want to be a new calmer, charismatic, happy person, that is time well spent.

    Cheers for now.

I was addicted for 20 years up to 6 hours fapping a day.
I changed and am now free of this porn curse.
It was a terrible process, and I relapsed many times, even had seizures and ended up in hospital with memory loss !
It was like being an alcoholic and the similar withdrawal symptons.

Despite all that horror, I kept on moving forward. I did not reset my counter, because you never lose all of your progress.
Eventually, I was free of both withdrawal symptons and the daily cravings to watch porn.
Do not get me wrong, I am no saint, and have slipped up from time to time, but that is in my past, and I will never return to those old habits.

I only stay on this forum to help people who are still unsure of the reason or benefits of nofap.
As I stated earlier, it is bloody hard to stop fapping to porn, the hardest thing I have ever done, but entirely worth it, as I said in my earlier post.
