Guys, there's something i wanna share with you and know if you guys ever had the same things going on during the abstinance. So, i noticed that now i have vivid dreams whenever i take just a short nap during the day or a long sleep during the night. That is crazy, isnt it? I didnt know that testosterone could affect on dreams. Do you experience this or know something about?? PS: i didnt have dreams before or at least couldnt remember. Btw, i'm on day 32
Hey Pedro, I went through a similar phase during the fourth week of no PMO. I no longer have vivid dreams with the same frequency as I did in that week and for a while after that. I'm guessing it's a stage in the reboot which will pass.
What do you mean with vivid drems? Normal ones where you are aware you're dreaming or dreams about erotic activities?
This is interesting. I've just reached day 5 after a couple of weeks of struggling with PMO, and I had really vivid dreams for the past 2-3 nights in a row. Last night's in particular was extremely intense. So it /may/ be a side effect of abstience. I've never really noticed it before though, even on my longer streaks earlier this year.
I'm experiencing something similar as well. I've wondered where the patterns of vivid dreams come from, but as I look back, they seem to occur when I'm trying to quit and on a good streak. I just had one last night for instance. This is pretty interesting. I wonder if there's any research on the topic.
Extremely common result of nofap. I experience this myself often and it has been a regular part of my first 50 day hard mode venture.
I used to dream a lot but after my "habit frequency" increased they started dying down i didn't have dreams for more than 6 months but yes i do agree when you stop playing with your joystick you do start dreaming..i had a dream after a really long time and that was like day before yesterday and that was also during my period of abstinence...so yeah i do agree..i think the reason is the M habit represses a lot of brain activity..i know for a fact that it supresses emotions so i'm also inclined to believe that M is the cause for my dreamless nights.Further i've read that dreams are the way the brain tries to relax ...but when you do the M thing you already go into a relaxed mentality cause of the dopamine..so yeah that's probably the reason..
I get them too and love it. Dreaming like that is awesome its a vacation from life. I believe it's optimal to be dreaming like that because it means you are in a deep REM sleep mode. I Always wake up refreshed and ready to go after a night of adventure haha.
