    Hi guys,
I've been lurking on reddit and this site for a while now. I recently read some of the FAQ and newbie information posts and was astounded. I watched the youtube videos and read the stories about how other men had started watching porn in their youth, and had been PMO'ing for a decade or more.
In thinking about my own life, I realized that my story is exactly the same. I've been watching P since I was 12 (im 24 now). P has ruined the best intimate relationship I've had in my life so far and I find myself trying to cure my anxiety with weed and PMO among other bad habits.
This is all going to change, one way or another. After reading the introductory information I felt like I was going to throw up. I realized how much of a negative impact PMO has had on my life. I'm consider myself lucky since I found nofap before getting to the point of ED. This is the second day of my current attempt at abstaining from PMO.
    Wish me luck!

Welcome Frazer! You have come to the right place. I have only been here 7 days myself but find a great sense of community. I suggest finding a person or group that you can chat openly with and be acountable to. Stay strong!

Be proud of yourself, and always value who you are and how far you've come. You have found a hidden evil in your life that has been silently tearing it apart without you knowing. Now that you've discovered that evil, conquer it. Destroy it and become the best version of yourself that you can become. You can do it.

Welcome brother! I'm so glad you've taken this step to recover. Take this thing one day at a time. That's one thing that has helped me. When I think about making a life change like this, I can often get overwhelmed by seeing the seemingly infinite amount of battles that I have to face in the future. When I take my battles as they come, it makes me so much more relieved and I can truly put my trust into God and He will give me strength. Keep positive thoughts in your mind and make new healthy habits. Quitting porn and masturbation isn't enough, in the end it's about taking steps of faith and making new healthy life changes that will replace your bad habits. It's truly a new way of living. It is very difficult at first, but so so worth it when you truly commit and stick with your decision to be free of porn and masturbation. You're in my prayers man.
