This is how you increase testosterone

  1. Ok, but didn't you just defend the doctors? Hard mode is what your badge reads: no PMO.

    Are you on hard mode with 6 days or not? I am on hard mode with 27 days, and it will be my fourth full reboot.

    Still, I differ about dopamine. I feel like you could live without that euphoria, on an indefinite basis.
     
  3. Yeah, you can call it as you wish, but here the terminology is specific. So when someone says that, you'll know.

    Another resource that might help you is to read up on NoFap terminology on this site.

    But either way: you don't HAVE to fail.

    All you have to do is survive today without PMO, my brother!

    Agree with your sentiments thanks. Wouldnt quite go as far as saying mocking! :) but I would take anyone's advice, even doctors, with a grain of salt.

    You have a poor understanding as to what dopamine is in that case.

    Dopamine is the "go and get it" chemical in your brain, without it you would be a lifeless zombie with no motivation to do anything. The problem is, dopamine drives you to whatever gives you reward and there's not much that gives a greater feeling of reward than sex. If you can learn to harness the drive that dopamine gives you into healthier things then you can achieve great things. You will not achieve great things with no dopamine, much in the same way that you won't achieve great things if all you channel it towards is porn and sex.

    There is also one intresting way to increase tostesteron and that is status in your life. Lets say if you are just some helping hand in you work/profession and you are one thats listen to orders or you are the main guy thats has everything in his hands and others listen to you. And I would say process to get there also has it things that can help you built tostesteron. I know for myself and my expirience that if I'm controled by this addiction I feel weak and low. Not like the 'main' guy at all.

  8. I already did achieve great things without dopamine. I still try to be at nearly zero dopamine now, and I feel good. I intend on achieving more, and I don't need a you tube video made by some high schooler in his parent's basement to give me his opinion.

    Well, I want to recover and heal. So, I watched the video and read the glossary as you guys suggested.. now I know a bit more now instead of just the bro science. As you said, if we had 0 dopamine we could NOT function, its abusing it or binging on it that is the problem, good point. My goal is to get dopamine through natural methods like exercise.

    My personal belief is there is no way to actually increase test (other than by taking actual test)

    I believe you can slow down the loss of test by dieting and exercising.
    Fasting, from what I understand, doesn't increase test but can increase human growth hormone.
    You can increase free test slightly, however free test is 1-2 percent of total test, so the amount your increasing it is statistically irrelevant.

    I did hear about a study in Japan (joe rogan was talking about it with Goggins)
    Apparently if you do a cold plunge right BEFORE weight training, that that can significantly increase test.
    My only issue with that is.. ok, why don't body builders do that instead of taking test lol? Is it literally just that easy.
    Im going to start that tomorrow and see where it takes me. Even if it doesn't increase test cold plunge is good for anxiety.

    Maybe there is no way to "raise" test but does that mean there aren't ways to lower it?

    Let's say you have a healthy male. He eats a good diet with plenty of healthy fats and protein. He lifts weights and works out 3/4x a week. He gets a solid 7-8 hours of sleep every night. He gets plenty of sunlight and is actively pursuing his goals in life. Now let's take the same guy and turn his diet to shit, all he eats is junk. He doesn't workout anymore and spends all day sat on the sofa. He sleeps 4 hours a night because he's up late watching porn and playing video games, he rarely goes outside and has no goal in life.

    Are his testosterone levels going to stay the same you think? I don't know, I'm just asking the question.

    Actually, free test is the only test our body actually uses, the rest is left floating around doing a whole lot of nothing. So whilst it may seem statistically irrelevant, that 1-2% is actually the most relevant of all.

    As for how much you can increase free test, well I always remember this post from a guy on here -

    His free test increased by 350% on nofap. Of course this is just one person's account and the validity of such can be questioned but I see no reason to doubt his claims.

    All of that said, one important factor that many are missing is that testosterone levels(free or total) only show part of the overall picture. Androgen receptor density is very difficult to measure but many theorise that over-ejaculation will downregulate those receptors much in the same way that the brain downregulates dopamine receptors., So even if you have all of this test in your body, if it doesn't have enough receptors to bind to then it's all a bit useless.

    Yes I believe you can lower your test through bad habits. So there is such a thing as maintaining test through diet and exercise...

    That's interesting about the free test thing. But (and this is only my experience) I've taken the things that raise it and again I didn't notice any type of difference. That's why I believe it doesn't make a difference. If my doctor was to prescribe me a test patch or I was to buy some dirty test at the gym I know the result would be different

    That's good to hear. For the last couple months I've been limiting my eating to between 2p.m. and 8p.m....which means 16 hours fasting per day.

    Good for you on the weight lifting . It's something I'd like to get into myself. I'll take a strong body over a weak one anyday.

    Doctors or rather the medical industry as a whole says alot of thing true or not solely to protect their own interests. With all due respect unless I break a bone or have some sort of trauma I steer clear of western medicine when it comes to health.

  19. I am not sure. I can't analyze every thing that doctors know.

    All I know is that what doctors and psychiatrists think about dopamine, is usually bunk.

    Look at Michael J. Fox with Parkinson's. They probably give him synthetic dopamine, but he isn't getting better. He's better than most, but he's not healed.

    Dopamine destroys the brain and the only real thing that dopamine does is signal the release of opioids.

    I think we made it a bigger deal than it is haha. I do trust them on a lot of topics, but maybe not all topics. Good points, good convo, but I'm moving on with my life as we all should :)
