Just wondering for the rest of you what counts as a relapse?

I'm 13 days into my hard mode reboot and didn't look at porn, but looked at permiscuous photos of woman in very little clothing. Kind of like what you see in GQ and shit like that... Does that count as a relapse?

I didn't M to it just scrolled then got rid of it because I knew it was bad and leading me down the wrong path.

That would be a porn substitute. You're using it to fill the void that the absence of actual porn is leaving in your brain, and this way you're slowing down the recovery of your dopamine household and also playing with fire again.

As you reacted to your gut feeling and stopped it quickly I wouldn't count it as a relapse, but try not do this a second time!

  3. Depends on the individual. Rather than thinking about "not relapsing" or "x amount of days", which made you question the definition of "relapse" in the first place, focus on changing your mindset brother. It's not about counting the days, it's about making the days count!

Porn is a pretty vague word, it means different things to different people. What it means will depend on the individual and their goals. But it's the same case with your counter, it's the same case with the word "relapse", it doesn't really matter and you should look at things in a more general scheme. Everyday, focus on being clean and develop that mindset, self control and discipline. Some days might be better, others may not.

You know that the typical relapse is either P, M (edging), MO or PMO right? It's pretty simple but there's more to it. Fantasizing, which is thinking about sexual stuff, will affect your recovery and make relapse more likely. There's also something I call "juicing", which is intentionally searching for sexual stuff that your mind says that isn't porn.

Both acts will affect your recovery and you're at risk of relapse. Do you have to be concerned about resetting your counter? No, the counter doesn't mean much unless you make the journey mean something. Move on and keep going, next time, try your best not to fantasize or juice again so you don't end up with the typical "relapse"! :D

Would it count as an relapse if your coworker showed you some nude pictures instagram? Looked at it but than quickly looked away.

Really appreciate your input guys. I've been so concerned with winding up the days on not doing "it" I forgot about just being intentional with my day. Thanks for the positive spin, I feel less worried about "relapsing" and more concerned with just doing something good with my time.
Thanks for the advice one a mind shift!
This is gonna take some time. *deep breath*.

Well, the above posts should answer that question!
