90 Day PM Challenge

    Great that you are trying to control...but don't force it on yourself too much because it might ruin your day.Neither will you be able to concentrate on other task nor you will feel good.So decrease the frequency of MO urges day by day slowly and gradually.But if you have addiction to P,then try to control it,it is the cause of all problems

    I feel really sorry to inform you people that i got into a bad relapse....the fault is mine....but again it is also that i did try giving in myself to resist this time after quite a while....the last few streaks were like i would just get busy doing something and forget about about pmo and when the urges did hit me i would just give in....this time i did show higher resistance.... anyways what has happened has happened i really don't wanna mourn over it....the lessons i have learnt is that just don't overthink (even if it's hard to not do so),get yourself indulged into a task,observe and accept whatever you are feeling you don't need to act on them(don't try to debate with your mind coz all that it will ever make you is think more and more about pmo...you can definitely reflect at a later point of time when you urges go down),more importantly that there really is nothing you will loose from stopping pmo...i will try building on just three habits now which are..
    1.meditate in the morning
    2.read a book and journal at night
    I thank all the members of the forum for providing me with all the love and support ❤️

    @Aod Dhan thank you for sharing on this! Very interesting stuff. As someone who often has not been at peace with themselves I'd like to try this.

    Do you have any tips on how to remember dreams? Sometimes I will wake up and remember many parts of a dream, but other times, like this morning, I will wake up knowing I had a dream but just unable to recall a thing about it.

    @Help me out plz@19 a stumble is fine! Stumbles happen. It's what you learn from it that is important. I think you're on the money when you say "don't try to debate with your mind."

    In my experience, once the urges become very strong in the early stages (first few months for me), if you reach the point of sitting there using your willpower... you will eventually stumble. It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow, but trying to sheer will it early didn't work for me. (Might be different for others.) I like boxing, so I compare it to fighting against a heavy puncher in early rounds versus the late rounds. Early in the fight, don't get hit clean, prioritize defense ( avoidance of urges)! But late in the fight, your opponent slows down and you can take him more head on.

    Gonna be a good day for me. Church, hanging with friends all afternoon, gonna fit in work whenever I can. Keep moving forward fellas!

I could not relate to girls well, even though I did have a few "girlfriends", but I was turned off by their human qualities and preferred them in my fantasies, where they were just the way I wanted them. I had my heart broken at a young age and hardened emotionally after that, so my fantasy life became dominant, which fueled my porn addiction. It's a sad story. But it's never too late to learn and grow. I am 51 years old and feel healthier than ever right now, even though I was not successful in any worldly endeavors. Shadow integration is part of my recovery process, and as this integration process unfolds, my desire for porn is lessening. I am coming to terms with who I am, and learning to appreciate the melancholy character that I have tried to repress, because it doesn't fit with the modern pursuit of "success". What do you see in advertisements and social media? Everybody is smiling all the time. This constant pressure to be a happy person....well, I'm not like that and I'm done trying! No, I prefer dawn and dusk over mid-day, I would rather be serious and contemplative than comical and lighthearted, and I prefer a good book over human company. I am no longer trying to conform...I choose to be myself, to be free.

    I don't know if it just me but I noticed Facebook's AI is quite incompetent in filtering content you dislike. When a undesirable content appears on my feed or To watch tab, I try to close the post and block the page, even report it. But those kind of content still appears though.
    TikTok however is good. I just select uninterested in undesirable content and they filter them well. I also like hashtags/trends that are positive and helpful and they keep giving those kinds to me. I especially like trends such as microsoftexcel since I want to get better at it, menfitnesstransformation because working out is one of the good habits that I'm trying to develop, etc.

    We all get into that situation more often that we want to. The key is to keep on trying. We are all practicing until we finally keep on avoiding and resisting the urges. Takes time, way more than we expect. Great job in being honest and self-aware and learning from it instead of wasting time being down.

    Yes! Going for long walks outdoors is Great! Even out in the woods so one is near to God's nature is Good...like a lakeside park place...?
    Helps to be in a good place to pray ...

    Still going... lots of urges after work, but stayed steady. Makes day 6 for me, been awhile since I made it to a week, so that's cool.

    I appreciate your candor and explanation. I'm interested in this shadow integration, I've heard a little about the concept, but do you have resources you can recommend where I can learn more? Books, websites, videos, etc. As someone who has suppressed a lot over the years I feel it could be helpful.

    @glnb8 keep it up, and as long as you're aware of the content and staying careful, you got this.

    @liveFreeOrDie hell yeah!!! Keep staying busy and crack that week mark.

    @Soldado de luz good to hear you're getting outside. I feel like getting outside is like dumping a bucket of ice water on yourself for curing urges LOL! I need to do this more often.

    I'm almost at a week. Shocked at how easy it has been to get back to a week. (Remember my streak I broke recently was 428 days.) I am waiting on the anvil to drop though, I am staying sharp and ready and focused! We got this guys!

    Well, relapsed to MO after work, so I'm back on day 0. Still no P, glad I'm still holding out against that.

    I'll be out of town this weekend, which will basically give me an easy weekend, so that will be a nice boost.

    @liveFreeOrDie hold strong against the P! Remember that downtime is often the enemy... stay busy.

    For me, pretty normal day. Urges slightly increased from the last couple days. Stayed busy and strong, just really focused on mentally running the second I think of anything I shouldn't be. Work has been nuts lately which is a plus. I'm very happy I work on a job where my work counts and I've got a lot in my plate.
