I am on day 8 against my battle with MO. As a Christian I thank God that I am not alone in this battle. Not only do we have each other, we also have the Holy Spirit, which when we tap into His power, we will ultimately be victorious and overcomers. Today as I was reading in the Word, I was reminded of what Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, "For our battle (PMO)is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness (porn industry), against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens (the devil and his demons). This is why you MUST take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having PREPARED everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore." The real battle is not so much with yourself, it's not PMO, it's something much bigger. PMO may be the battleground where the war is being fought, but the enemy is above and beyond all of that. That is why we need the FULL armor of God, every piece. Any part of the armor we leave behind is just an opening for the enemy to attack. So today we must take our stand together and resist the evil that seeks to consume us! Proverbs says that in the multitude of counselors, there is safety; there is power in numbers! So whether today is the first day of standing and resisting, or your first year free, we stand together!

Brother, I am a Christian as well. This was well said. I liked how you added in the verse how this disgusting, parasitic crap can get us and how we can beat it. The Holy Spirit is such a wonderful gift from God. One thing that helps me is when I am faced with temptation, I think to myself about how Psalms talks about lifting holy hands to God. I am an Evangelical Christian. I love lifting my hands to The Lord during praise and worship. I stop myself to think "this Sunday will I be interrupted by feelings of guilt when I am openly praising God during the songs, or will I be able to worship Him with no worries about this past week?" It's definitely a gut check that helps me out. Thanks for this post. It helps out more than you know. God bless

All the other sinners in church are praising God also. You are praising God, who is worthy of all our praise. Not I that is worthy, until I am covered with the blood of Jesus through forgiveness of my sins and receiving the Holy Communion. Place the feelings of guilt at the cross of Jesus and leave them there. They will disappear.

I really like hearing how Christians and non-christians have the same struggles and can fight temptations together.

Amen! I just signed up today (literally right after I had a binge). Like many here, I have been struggling on and off for a long time. I just want to end this now and not bring it into a future marriage.

Amen ! I've done over 50 days, almost hitting 60, and I know that the Holy Spirit has helped during my struggles. Many times it felt like it was impossible, but slowly I began to feel happy, energetic and motivated to succeed. Gradually this spirit of lust detached from my life, only because I pursued God. I still get urges now and then to masturbate, but now I am more in control. It no longer feels like a drug that I'm addicted to. Taking up this challenge has been a life changing experience. If I can do it, you can do it too ! All the best guys. God bless.

Word bro! Amen brothers! Galatians 5:16 "So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature." Jesus has already won the victory for us! We have the victory in this life and the next through him! Amen!
