    Hey!

The other day I decided to try the 30 day nofap challenge. I used to PMO 5-7 times per week, and have done so for about 3 years (I'm 16), and the reasons why I decided to stop was to prevent the death grip and to see how it affects my moods ect, not because I think that porn has a big negative effect on my life.
However, I've always thought highly of my own self control, and I'm 99% sure that I can go way over 30 days, even though I'm going 'hard mode' (not by choice haha). Therefore I've decided to make it a just a little harder (probably impossible) by making it into a 3-part, 90 day challenge.

    • First 30 days: No PMO. Looking up porn, fapping, or having an orgasm by any means (except wet dreams) means instant reset.
    • Second 30 days: No MO. Same rules as before, except I have to watch between 10-15 minutes of P everyday. Whilst naked. This is not meant to be easy.
    • Final 30 days: No O. Same as the second set, but I have to edge when watching each video.

The idea isn't to be able to do this. It is to test me to my limit, to see how far I can go. Wish me luck, and feel free to join me on my quest.

EDIT: Will give updates once it starts to get hard.

You're 16. You're nuts. You're gonna have sperm squirting out your ears if you do this 90 day plan. Much success when you come back to Earth.

In my opinion, this isn't a good challenge and you're going to end up relapsing, and by watching porn you won't reap the benefits of nofap, and some say 30 days isn't enough for a full recovery from PMO. I wouldn't do it, but every person is different and you've only been at it for 3 years so who knows

As I said, this is a self control test, the idea isn't to fix ED or recover from PMO; I don't believe that it is having a negative impact on my life and I'm expecting to relapse at some point, so it isn't going to dishearten me. I'm thinking of this challenge as more of a game than something that is supposed to improve my life. I totally understand why you wouldn't want to do this as it isn't for most people, but I think that I will enjoy testing myself in this way more than a traditional nofap.

    Update #1 Day 7
It's been a week since my last PMO, and I've been surprised how easy it has been. I haven't had any significant urges, and the few I've had have been at night, and the desire to sleep has been more than to fap. I'm expecting this to change in the coming days, as I've never gone more than about a week without PMO, and that has only been a couple of times when I've been on vacation. My closer friends who I've told about this think I'm mad, but one of them has challenged me and thinks he can last longer than me. Game on.

Glad you're getting started. But, I would suggest you re-examine your reasons for adding P and M. Consider the possibility that what you have is a *normal* response to an *abnormal* stimulus. P > M > O > endorphin > seeking P. It's a bit like a crack addict testing their resistance to crack by quitting and then taking increasing amounts again. I don't think the problem is self control, at least not in the way you seem to have defined it. (As in "I can resist no matter how much I allow to myself to be stimulated.")

I think real self-control starts sooner, with recognizing when you're drifting the wrong way and correcting it immediately rather than allowing yourself to continue drifting and then testing the strength of your ability to veer away at the last moment. Which driver is more in control of his vehicle: the one who manages to pull out of a skid in the soft gravel shoulder of a roadway without crashing, or the one who stays in his lane in the first place?

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If you're trying to break a chain, you would choose a weak link, right? Then I would suggest you apply yourself to using self control when the urges first start - by not dwelling on a thought that leads you down the path, by not continuing to look at a person or picture that you find arousing, by getting up and walking away when the thought occurs to you to view P.

if u relapse then u should not feel bad...i said it because u always think highly of ur self control...and the fact that u have been at it only for 3 years itself shows that u cannot easily be distracted by porn and m...go ahead kiddo...
