Hey people. After you stopped watching and fapping did you begin to feel more "human"? Where you able to connect to people in a newer way?
Definitely, VAg! Started MOing at age 15, added P to it shortly after. Trapped for 5 years. Thought I was the only guy who did it. Embarrassment, confusion, fear, shame.... Being introverted/shy to begin with, this just made me more reclusive. Tried 100s of times to stop. Finally, my clean streak has extended to over a year. In that time, I not only lost the shame, etc., but also became more outgoing than ever before. I can face life as a Man. I'm still an introvert, but now I can move about in social circles more easily. I feel more competent and confident. I wish you well with your journey. Peace. Mike
Did you grow up religious? There's nothing "shameful" about fapping, animals in the wild are also known to fap.
I think this is complete crap actually. There is often "shame" with fapping. That is why women and men throughout the entire world hide it frequently. There is much shame in the fact that you are literally using your own hand, to have sexual pleasures. Many people associate that with shame, religious or not.
On this site, we speak the truth (I suppose secularists would say "my" truth) as best we understand it; we do not expect constant agreement. But we do offer each other respect (cf. your "Did you grow up religious?").
The thing about the truth is it doesn't care what you think about it. It is true that human beings are not the only animal that self-pleasure themselves, horses, and other primates do for an example. "There is much shame in the fact that you are literally using your own...," no dumbass there isn't, there is only shame that you give it, someone who doesn't share your same ideas about masturbation has no problem. You should be asking yourself where you got your ideas that masturbation was wrong, I'll give you the answer: Religion.....you stupid fuck.
You can simply ask yourself no matter what you think is right and wrong.... Does this action help me in life? Does this action have a positive effect on me and the people I'm close with? Does this action produce a healthy physical and mental lifestyle... For me I personally don't feel fapping is in itself bad. I personally won't do it because when I do I think of the porn I have watched over the years and it makes me wana watch porn again which I feel has hindered my life and hurt my relationships with the people I care most about.... Once you meditate on the questions above you will know what is best for you... And as far as your first question, yes I found myself talking and acting totally different in my connection to other people when I've tried to quit porn...
Just fapped, felt no guilt or shame. It was the best thing I did all day. Now time to sleep like a baby.
This site is called NoFap. I respect your effort to try to try to improve yourself by being here, but if you don't plan on trying and you're gonna call out other people and call them nasty names like "stupid f***" then you might as well not be on here. Avoiding M is just as important as P to myself, and I'm assuming pretty much everyone on this site, hence "PMO". If you're gonna attack people and not take this seriously and write things encouraging M, when most people are/were addicted to it, then my best advice is to get off of here. Also, at NoFap, were not disrespectful to the other guys on here who are struggling and working on their recovery. Some of your previous comments were disrespectful. Again I'm not telling you to leave, but if you're gonna be disrespectful and be a potential trigger to write things encouraging others to M then my best suggestion is to get off of this site. I hope you delete those comments ^^and I hope you don't ruin others recovery accomplishments by expressing those views. I support your efforts in trying to recover, but I don't want you to hurt others and it seems like you're potentially doing so.
From our rules: VegA, We all can tell you feel strongly about religion. But this is neither the place nor time to discuss such things. If you feel that you must talk about how religions have made us feel guilty about masturbation restrict it to your journal. We have people here that strongly identify with many different faiths and they find strength from those faiths to resist their sexual addiction. If you also are trying to defeat your own sexual addiction and you can do it without faith, good for you. That's no reason to denigrate the faith your journeys of others. NoFap is not a place to debate about religion. It is not a place to evangelize or push your particular set of beliefs. It's a place of healing. It's a place where people of all faiths, or lack therefo, can come together and find common ground in wanting to be free from pornography addiction. If your hatred of religion prevents you from interacting respectfully with religious fapstronauts, then perhaps NoFap is not for you.
