I only finished reading it 2 weeks ago and I think the method for quitting is easy. I guess it helped me to see the picture clearly and what I was doing wrong before.
2021: The motivation myth by Jeff Haden Caffeine by Michael Pollan(only available in audio format) Discipline equals freedom expanded edition by Jocko Willink Currently Reading: Practical Ayurveda by Sivananda yoga vedanta center The body keeps the score by Bessel van der kolk How to read a book by Mortimer J. Adler & Charles van doren Personal recommendations: Anything that is relevant to your life and current situation will be easiest to become personally immersed in and apply to your life. Take your time with great books, and don't be afraid to drop a book if it feels like a waste of time(even if it has 1,000 5 star reviews on amazon or whatever). Atomic habits, besides its obvious selling point of establishing habits, is really great because the author actually backs up every argument with real field tested knowledge to the point where you can't deny it. He single-handedly debunks westernized ideas of success such as magical amounts of willpower, discipline, constant drive and motivation, "just do it" as well as other ways people try to broadly give self help advice by actually showing the real science of habit building. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, the Gregory Hays translation, is great regardless of how you feel about stoicism or philosophy in general. It can be a difficult read if you're not used to old english but can offer great perspective on many of our life issues that seem monumental at first, but are very much in our control. Read this if you feel helpless or highly reactive to the things around you.
Reading is probably one of the only truly good habits I have never struggled with and always seem to find time to do it. Books of 2021 Dune - Book 3 The Checklist Manifesto Less Stuff Armada Sicily 43' Life of Pi Currently reading: - Shoe Dog But I am currently finding it rather slow and boring. Trying to keep in the rhythm of fiction, non fiction, fiction, non fiction. I think the reason I am stuck on this current non fiction book is because I took the time to read some in-depth articles and essays across three magazines so maybe I need to spice things back up with fiction.

Started listening to the audiobook "Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" by Benjamin Franklin (who would've thought). How do we feel about audiobooks here? Personally I believe there is nothing wrong with counting them, as you do get the same information as when you're reading the book. Good to see so many people joining this book club!
For me it depends on the content with audiobooks. I am more visual but also if driving it depends on whether the attention has to be focused on traffic or if it's smooth sailing on open highway etc.
Good for blinded people or half blinded like my Grand Father., despite he refuse them. Also if you think a book is hard to read, it become easy to understand it with audio book. Honestly i can't understand ebook. It make your eyes tired, i cannot do long session with ebook.
If it gets you enjoying books then go for it! I do struggle to concentrate on listening to them. I always seem to get distracted, it's the same with Podcasts and therefore a medium which I don't use. But each to their own. Enjoy!

Yep, I almost couldn't complete it, its themes and darkness seemingly reflecting my covid restricted lockdown life. I've had to immerse myself into The World of Jeeves by way of antidote! The most comically genius collection of stories in print, if you ask me.
The road less traveled (how to deal better with depression and spiritual development) The sublte Art of not giving a fuck (creating purpose in our lives, forming values and distinguish between the two)
