I wanted to tell this to someone so i am saying it here:
It is generally believed that if you begin something happily the chances of you going the distance amplify. My problem right now is that i am going through a rough time in my life and i started NoFap.Honestly in the past,at times when i felt low i had this necessary urge to masturbate(i honestly do not understand why but i used you).So yesterday i imagined myself from a third person's perspective while i was masturbating and realized that my situation is no different from a drug addict. It was embarrassing and i had to stop and so i did.Unfortunately my bad times haven't.I am at the back of a nasty breakup with my long time girlfriend to tough times at college backed up by lack of enthusiasm to get out and do things. And well its Valentine's day tomorrow(although i am just being silly i know)its just that all my friends are you know,a couple so being this way sucks even more.So in the midst of all these stupidities(just for the record, i have faced harder times but back then i somehow had the courage to fight back(or maybe i had fear at the back of my mind to do things that got me going)), do you think doing becoming a NoFapster would most likely lead to even more tough times(when withdrawal kicks in).Is there anyone out there who started when things got really rough and well doing this really helped them through.Peace my friends.

Hello again. Ive done this on the tail end of a very unexpected and unwanted marriage break up and being single for the first time in nearly 25 years. Theres an old zen saying 'black days along the way, stand up in praise of them!' and you can interpret that anyway you like but to me at least it teaches us not to discriminate against good and bad as sometimes the 'bad' times are teaching us exactly what we need (watch the film 127 hours!)...

    And on not discriminating...

There is a Taoist story of an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. "Such bad luck," they said sympathetically. "May be," the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. "How wonderful," the neighbors exclaimed. "May be," replied the old man.The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. "May be," answered the farmer. The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son's leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. "May be," said the farmer.

And on the subject of energy sublimation we discussed yesterday remamber that the same principles apply in life, everything is energy, and as Shakespeare once said "There is no good and bad, only thinking makes it so"

    See if this helps mate...

My dear friend, thankyou so much for that. Its pretty natural for a person to sometimes overate his problems and guess that is what i am doing.I see though that you are always trying to encourage people for the better.Well i would try to do the same.An encouraging heart is always positive.I still am in my first day but with NoFap it is easier.Everytime i had an urge i reminded myself that i had a commitment to follow and well i controlled myself easily. And well i started swimming too today and felt ever so good.I guess the proper way to make this work is by giving your body an altenative that nourishes your mind and soul. Thanks again.
