    Hi
I am new to nofap, joined yesterday. In these two days though i am not feeling any urge for porn or masturbation but I have some doubts. What regulations should I follow. Is it just staying away from these things virtually or we need to follow in real physical life too? For example can I look at girls in real life? If a girl is physically attractive and if I look at her or her body, am I breaking the standard rules? Its not that I will get an erection after looking at her but I am not sure if I am breaking the rules! Can anybody please help me with this or any link where I can get answers to my doubts. I am not sure whether I have to stay away from only virtual things or in real life too. Yes I am trying to talk to them without having any sexual thoughts in mind but while walking in streets or at public places should I not look at girls' body?

    Hey cntctmp!
Welcome to the community and congratulations on making that first step into nofap!

As to your question, that really all depends. We're all very different here with different backgrounds and different addiction habits to PMO. You'll ultimately have to figure out what is best for you. Some of us are even married and will maintain a sex life while doing nofap. As for looking at girls on the street, if you're not fantasizing about P or looking at them as objects it might be ok. The problem will lie later in your nofap journey, when urges to PMO pop up, it might be better not to look at girls too much. You'll have to figure out what your triggers are. There are no strict rules, just see what works for you. I advise to read as much as you can on the YBOP website and reading through other people's threads here. Everyone is here to help and support each other.

    Good luck on your journey!

Good luck. I'd say you can look at girls as much as you like; true we are all different here. For me, at least part of the problem is NOT looking at real women and looking at porn (ie computerised women).

    Thanks @Nerdman @Pancho and @FreddyNoFap
From your posts I understood that there is no specific rule. I need to find my compulsive behavior and will have to control on that. And for me I have decided that I will not look at girls in the way I used to. I will not stare at their body. Its very difficult as I have been doing that from past so many years. Still when a girl passes by me the first thought that comes to my mind is look at and scan her figure. I am controlling by looking away but don't no when that time will come when I will not have to look away and thought of staring will not come to my mind. As its just 3rd day hope things will change with time.

Hi! I have the same problem.
I have to confirm that porn obsession is in my mind, in my brain. In other words, it is a psychological pathology.
After watching my thoughts flow from inside, so to say, I`ve come to conclusion that I have more than 50 thoughts concerning pornography during the day, although I do not watch P. This abnormal way of thinking lives deep inside me. Interestingly, porn videos, which had been watched by me for over 17 years, saved somehow in form of images deep in my mind.
Therefore, when I go outside, look at any pretty girl, passing by, those horny images arise in my head. In fact, I start to imagine how I bang the girl I see just at first. So, the problem itself is in my head. Of course, I try my best not to fantasize anything stimulating, often I just get my eyes away from sexy ladies, sometimes I might come closer to her pay compliment right into her eyes, but NOT visualizing having sex with her.
Another aggravating factor is that I`ve been in relationship with my girlfriend for more than 1 year. Moreover, I live with her, she's like a wife for me, but with 28 days refraining from PMO, I`ve noticed that I pay attention to other girls. Possibly I am getting bored with my girlfriend. I don't know...
