Should I quit school to beat this addiction?

I'm not trying to be negative, but be careful not to do something when the reasoning could be based in delusion. People who are addicted are often somewhat separated from reality, that's why we run to porn to "solve" or "escape" our problems. If it were me I wouldn't make such a huge life decision while I'm still in the middle of the addiction. It may be worth investing in counseling or finding professional help. Some local churches offer free counseling and things like that too so you can get help and real life accountability.

Just my opinion.

On my computer I also have cold turkey installed. But I've been relasping with my computer due to the fact that you can download force uninstallers that bypass uninstall pins and locks. So I decided fuck it, and used the cold turkey feature that blocks the entire internet and the other feature that allows you to whitelist certain websites that you need access too.

However today I downloaded one of those Uninstaller software files on my phone and just transferred it to my computer with my SD card adapter and relasped 4 times this morning. I threw out those SD card adapters, and I can't use USB cables because I have to allow them through my phone settings, which I have blocked with detoxify. I could factory reset my phone and computer, but those take hours to do and delete all your files, so the urge will.be long gone so it would be pointless. I should be in prime position to never relaspe again, but I've seen this same story plenty of times and somehow I'll probably find another way to relaspe . I really just want to smash this fucking laptop but I need it for school

Im a senior with 2 more semesters left in Uni, but I just want to drop out. I'm studying a field I don't care about because my parents kept telling me I HAD to go to college after highschool. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life at that time so I just agreed. I finally figured out what I want to do in my life which is making music, and drawing/writing a series I've been day dreaming about for years. But now I'm already thousands of dollars in debt.

Due to depression and a lack of drive caused by an imbalanced hormonal system and fried dopamine receptors due to porn and masturbation, Ive hardly spent anytime on my goals. I've barely improved on electric guitar and I haven't even touched it in weeks. I barely work on writing my story, and I haven't even started working on developing any drawing skills. Ontop of that I work a graveyard shift at Amazon 4 days out the week. Also I noticed the mental focus, creativity, and clarity just isn't there after I relaspe and dosent start opening up until day 7 or so, which I barely can even make it to, although that shouldn't be a problem now. I dont even see the point in working on my goals if I'm just gonna keep relasping.

I want to just drop out of school, trash this laptop, and finally be free of this addiction and just focus on improving my skills in music and art so I can make money off of my passions instead of slaving for some corporate company.

I make enough money from Amazon to pay my rent and feed myself with some money left over, and if I can develop skills in my passions I can make more money on the side, doing things I actually care about. I really think the best option here is to just raise the stakes and drop out of school. I'm tired of not taking risk and sitting back living a pathetic medicore life.

Thanks for the advice but I've decided I will be leaving school. I am very intrigued by the risk doing this presents.

I won't be able to waste a bunch of my school refund checks on pointless material objects and this will force me to manage and budget my money. I haven't been saving aswell as I should have been. The risk aswell that comes from dissappointing my parents and family if I drop out and fail on my goals push me to want to do better, because things are not going to be pretty when I tell them I'm dropping out. I will find a way to make money off my passions and take off in a career with them, without school, and nofap is going to be a big part of that aswell as, developing discipline, self control, and good habits.

Staying in school allows me to stay in that line of mediocrity and comfortability in which I won't fall to the bottom of society, but I won't take any risk to get to the top either.

I'm sick and fucking tired of being comfortable, I want to be uncomfortable and in a situation in which I have no choice but to succeed but with the risk of also starting from the bottom of the barrel again if I fail. I don't care anymore. Absolutely anything is better than being in that horrible mediocre comfort zone.

I WILL be successful!

I dont think it´s worth it, I wont be doing a doctorate for instance, I wanna start investing before I´m 25, and even now, I still take NoFap, during masters so yeah, you can do it, you just gotta flex it.

Don't listen to people. If you believe that it's a good decision and you want to persue it, just do it (and it will happen)! I feel like I lost so many years listening to people. Even though I'm 22
I'm not gonna lie agriculture sounds like... sucks. Don't waste your 20's. You can look for alternatives if you will be 40 but it's not actually a true story. Age doesn't matter. Just do things to not regret when it will be too late.

Well I wish you the best of luck! You certainly don't need school to be successful, and some of the greatest growth comes from uncomfortable situations like what you're saying. No matter what you do, you can beat this addiction and move forward in a successful and joyful life. Good luck!

To be fair it can still be finished, in his future 60s.

I had colleagues on that age group who did similar things, the idea is set the income base first, then go play with the degrees once you have more free time.
