  2. I am in almost the exact same situation as you man, at home all day studying, and on my PC. Something that has been helping me so far is whenever I get a urge I change my environment, whenever I have relapsed in the past it has been in my bed so my brain almost automatically wants me to lay in my bed, grab my phone, and relapse. To prevent this, simply going to my car, going for a walk, or going anywhere away from the area where I constantly relapsed in the past (my bed) has helped.

  3. Get out of there, find somewhere away from the home to study, library, cafes, coffee shops or anywhere you can access the Internet if you need it, if not then anywhere. Ultimately though you need to be able to deal with an urge, you can't go on never being alone at home for the rest of your life, that's unrealistic, so you need to learn to deal with your urges and most importantly before they take over you. There's always a moment of thought when you have an urge and you need to make the choice not to, or to simply step away or breath. You need to learn to help yourself and be strong, I'm not exactly there yet, but I know that that is how I will and everyone will overcome it, you need strength in the moment, you need to be in the moment.

First and foremost, please know that going back to using porn is outright stupid, useless, zero value, unproductive activity. Spending your time on porn is a zero benefit bargain. Perceive that! Perceive the utter uselessness of indulging in this crap!

Our addiction is dependent on a cue- response cycle. Alone time in front of PC can is a tough trigger. It was for me too. You will get the cues to but before you instinctively respond to the cue by accessing porn, REPLACE it with more productive activity. With the aid of MINDSET and STRATEGY, you can tide over this situation.
    • Get an accountability partner
    • Call your parents or loved ones and tell them to call you every 30 minutes or so, and to check on you
    • Install Qustodio or such web protection software and give the password to your friend or parent. There are ways with which crap can be blocked. Apply them
    • Keep yourself hydrated
    • PLAN OUT THE DAY. THE PORTIONS TO BE COVERED. AND WORK OUT THE PLAN
Something must work, keep improvising. You can win this.

    Stays strong!

  7. Yeah @black_coyote is based. You need to have contact with other human beings - an AP might work, but it might not. I'd try it anyway. And he's right about having a plan for your day, it can help with reducing stress and making you feel like getting stuff done. Also, write in a journal - could be here, but personally I use a physical diary. List your accomplishments or things that you are proud of, your goals, who you are and who you want to be, etc.

Then there are strategies to avoiding urges. I'm in a similar situation to you, but I have family. I leave my bedroom door open at night if I think I might be tempted to relapse. But in all honesty, the main thing you will be forced to rely on is willpower. You need to construct a positive and goal-oriented mindset, and that is really the trick to beating porn. How to get to that point is different for everyone. But you need to like yourself.

Goto the park and workout until you physically can't anymore. It's helped me. I still relapse about once a week, but been a pmo addict over ten years, so change won't happen overnight. I used to fap 4-5 times a day... Gotta keep yourself busy.

I also am alone alot with my comp and I'm ok if I am in the flow with what I am working on, but as soon as I get bored, or uncomfortable from sitting I want to solve that with porn. I like the idea of just getting up and leaving for a bit, it's not healthy to be at your comp for extended periods of time anyways so why not when that urge comes use it as an excuse to take a break. Howerver it's not easy, and the brain is tricky it will justify looking at porn for any reason you give it. Thanks for posting reading these helps me.
