My dear friends, I feel many of us are putting unwarranted pressures on ourselves by pledging to do a 90 day reboot and failing in a couple of days/weeks because of our fear , doubts, temptations and lack of self-belief. After a couple of days or weeks we feel as if the goal is unattainable. I think if we worked on a 3 day cycle and focus on 3 days at a time, we surely can reach our 90 day goals in 30 cycles without taking a break and not feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the number 90. So my first cycle begins today 17th June 2015 (+3 days whenever you come in) I pledge that "I will fulfill my vows to abstain from temptations, porn and self-gratification (enter your vows) and live according to the pledge for the next three days. No matter how scared I am or how tempted I am, I will not give in and fail. If I do fail, I will not quit. I will try again and again till I succeed." PS: Doesn't 30 cycles sound better and easy than 90 days??
I understand that feeling, I hope you realize that you are stronger than your temptations, you bend your will not the other way around Pls do share your progress .
Good idea. I'm going back and forth between 5, 10, and 15 day goals, but that's as good a plan as any that I've heard.
I agree completely with this post. good call! I started with a 3 day goal. Once I hit this goal, I bumped it to 6. Once I hit 6, I went to 15, ect. I hit 90 days. As of right now, I am having a difficult time hitting 90 again. As a result, I dropped my goal down to 10. I just hit 10, so now my goal is 20. I will work my way back up.
I think its a good idea to set our goals in phases of 3.It sort of tricks our brains somewhat.I like the idea and I am willing to give it a try.
