Does anyone know how blind people consume porn? Any members here?

I'm curious about their subjective experience, because while there are things like descriptive video/audio and I guess just braille reading, the way the information is processed would not be the same and just wouldn't be as immediate as the visual channel. I can't see that high speed internet would do as much for that as a supernormal stimulus, like people talk about having multiple videos open at one time but audio is serial and happens in time so that can't really work. I mean sure they can search for stuff so in terms of easy access that's true, but not in terms of the sheer amount of information. My guess is the statistics would be very different amongst the blind population.

 

Well I'm reading a bit about brain plasticity and apparently when the brain map of something like a certain sense is not used the surrounding area takes over, which may be stuff with similar function - like with a limb or say an amputated finger the maps for the other fingers on that hand takes over. The picture is more complex when a whole sense channel is gone. They do have adaptive software to access stuff online but my reason for posting is 1. Are they as addicted in the first place, because for the most part porn is so visual? and 2. If even they are addicted what's their experience like? Or is it far less likely because it's not visual? I would guess it is less likely and if they are hooked it's on a longer time frame of response.. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, flashed at you in an instant.

 

Also I couldn't help but think of my other thought about sign language. It's this idea of using constraints to train a specific thing, whether it be other senses and/or just another limb like they do with stroke recovery.

Imagine being blindfolded for a week or more, which is apparently what people who train guide dogs and teach blind people will do to get to know the experience. And if one always faps with one hand, then have that in a sling and only use the other for every task.. That'll rewire something.
