I think you need to build a more personal relationship with yourself. You're young so it will take time. And stop getting tied up in what the bible says or whether or not jesus loves you or if it's a sin to masturbate. That is NO way to live pal. Sure, have your christianity, but don't sacrifice your humanity at the same time...

Bro, all you have to is do something else… As soon as ur ready to whip out you know what, just do something, go outside do jumping jacks do push ups take a cold shower make food anything… The more you do this the more you will that you're getting things done..

 

Alright I crossed a boundary and I'm sorry OP. I'm suggesting an evaluation of the connection between sinning and masturbating is in order for you. Just think about your attitude on the matter from as many different points of perspective as you can. And yes, distractions are a good way of getting your mind off of doing the deed. Good luck, you can do it!

Christian here too, and I have a couple of suggestions:

1) You need an accountability partner - a Christian brother who you can be completely honest with and tell it all. Make sure this is someone who will meet you with GRACE not judgement. Jesus died for your forgiveness, so you don't need anyone else judging you. You need someone gracing you into purity. You need a partner who you can text any time you are feeling tempted, and tell them what's going on and know that they will support you. You can't do this alone. I tried for 40 years, and only succeeded when I sucked it up and shared it all with a trusted friend who understands the journey.

It's really hard to tell someone "I'm really feeling really tempted to look at porn right now, and I've even been imagining a certain website I want to go to." But believe me, it's easier to admit you're tempted so you can draw on a brother's strength than to confess you fell and deal with the shame.

2) You've got to replace the desire to FAP with something else. I found that the free online course called "The Way of Purity" was a real help to me. http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/courses/way-of-purity/ Good people there, and it will really help you to get a handle on God's will.

3) Relax! I am hugely down on porn. It is, in my opinion, a form of prostitution. And, it has so little to do with the beautiful gift of sex that God gave us that it's really destructive. There are two lies from Hell that you can't get tricked into believing. A) No one else has this problem but you and no one will love you if they ever find out. B) Everyone else does this, so why miss out on the pleasure. The weird thing is that we can convince ourselves to believe both lies at the same time! There is no mention of masturbation anywhere in the Bible, and while it certainly falls far short of God's best will for us, if it were a huge sin I think that the Bible would have at least mentioned it somewhere. After all, people FAPd back then too!

The reason to stop fapping shouldn't be guilt or fear. It should be a genuine desire for purity that is a reflection of your love and commitment to Jesus. And Jesus gets it - really! The Bible says that he was tempted in every way that we are.

Hey. I'm the same way. I'm a strong Christian and I follow Jesus. I have been struggling with porn and masterbating for 5 years now, and I want to end it! I just started this and I'm on 4 days right now, but all I can say is don't give in. I pray God will give you strength to get through this. And one thing is if you do give in, don't beat your self up on it. Just get back up and try again and whatever you do don't give up!
I don't know how much this will help, but I hope it dose.

P.S. God understands what you are going though, he love you so much and remember that he is a god of love and grace. He isn't going to be mad at you when you fall, but he dose want us to pick our self back up and keep going

 

For me, nothing worked permanently until I found out about health effects of masturbation. It is degenerating, read my topic about TCM point of view. Then it was quickie, but temptations of course remained.
