Being addicted is hard man, because you only try to stop it because of the consequences that comes if you continue doing it. But I actually don't want to stop. I keep relapsing, because I just can't force myself to stop. Man, hope some of you got a perspective to this. I just wish I could keep watching porn/fapping without the negative side effects. Man this is an awkward thread haha.
i am struggling with this right now. When my heart isn’t in it and my whole body mind and soul doesn’t want to quit, i cannot succeed. I’ve had many 30 plus day streaks and one 5 month and one 8 month streak recently. Let me tell you that the ONLY times i ever had long streaks were when I fully WANTED TO QUIT! If you keep wanting to pmo, you can never win. Your HEART is not in it. And God says out of the heart arise all of the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23) In order to walk in purity, you need to ask Jesus to give you a new heart You must be SAVED. Today is the day of salvation as tomorrow is NEVER promised. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10. To be saved you must REPENT from willful sin to be forgiven. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" Acts 3:19. Repentance is an intentional change or turning away from sin and turning to God; from wanting to sin to not wanting to sin. It is a change of heart in regard to sin. If you truly want to be saved and repent it is because God has laid it on your heart. First you must believe in your heart that Jesus Christ was crucified and died for your sins, that He was buried and God raised him from the dead on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Secondly, one very important thing you have to remember is that God does NOT want anyone to come to Him who is only HALF-hearted or lukewarm. He does not work that way. "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with ALL YOUR HEART." Jeremiah 29:13. “And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel) 36:26
