Does anyone have some suggestiosn how to block sites in safari (also firefox woudl be good too but safari primarily tried parentla controls and adblock but hasn't worked. thank you
go to your settings and go on internet and whitelist your browser. Allow sites which you really need. For me it's just Youtube and some gaming sites like Social Club for GTA V.
Dude, I don't know about Safari, but if later it needs a password, or using a parental control use this tool: https://passwordsgenerator.net/ Thank you.
use some good parental control softwares like k7, kaspersky etc..i'm currently using this and i can only access nofap.com and some educational websites..parental control systems are very effective.
On my phone I downloaded triple web filter. Best to get premium so you can have someone set a lock on it for you. I dont have premium and it's working semi decent. Also had to download site blocker to block fb ig and twitter
I usually use a setting on my iphone called screen time. On screen time you can use downtime to limit the use of the iPhone or certain apps anytime such as social media, Safari, mobile games, etc. An addition, you can use Content & privacy restrictions setting to block inappropriate content, and to disable the safari app on allowed apps. While using screentime it requires a four digit passcode. I would write it down on a small price of paper.
that worked on my phone, Iahd that already it helps me just desktop with sfair is my trigger since shared computer.
thank you I tried k7 previously and it worked but it started to screew up desltp (mac) I will look into kaspersky since never heard othta ttheat one, any others i' d LOVE to know. THANK YOU!
The best solution is to buy a cheap raspberry pi and install the free opensource pihole app on it: https://pi-hole.net/ Then import a porn black list with most of the nasty sites.
For me the issue would be that I'd need someone else to be the admin and set up the blocker on all PCs and phone. Otherwise if I do that and just rely on that to prevent me then I would just switch off the blocker "when required"....
