Korean Drinking Culture

    I have a question regarding Korean drinking culture. I've read up a bit the last 20 minutes or so but don't find anything that matches my observation from today.
    so i moved to another country and there i met a korean guy. he came here together with his sister to study.
    they had a couple of friends over, we ate something and afterwards my friend's sister offered me some alcohol. however, she seemed to only offer it to me and she brought no more than two glasses. 5 people, only two drank. i mean the others didn't touch any alcohol.
    what happened here?

    I work with a lot of Indonesian/Chinese/Japanese students and they invite me to eat with them sometimes. I've noticed that people from these cultures are incredibly hospitable and truly have the guests in mind when they're hosting. I've definitely been offered alcohol even though the others weren't necessarily drinking -- they just wanted to make sure that I was taken care of.

    ha, interesting how long it has been. the girl's mother absolutely loves me, keeps inviting me to their hometown in korea and promises to treat me to some dog meat (i know... i said i want to try it it once.)
    meanwhile the girl seems to despise me.
    i get funny reactions from people and they seem to get funnier the longer i stay away from porn. it's been more than 4 months now, btw
