    Hi Guys,
I'm 27 y/o male and NOT ADDICTED TO PORN.
I started masturbating without porn when I was 17. Coincidentally I was alone preparing for Engineering exams for next six months and that is where my masturbation binge started. For next six months or so I'd masturbate 8-10 times a day without a single day break, yes you heard it right!

I was certainly one of the most addicted people you have ever come across. I tried to get rid of masturbation but never succeeded. For next 7 years, I kept on doing it roughly 2-3 times a week.

At 23, when I got naked with my first girlfriend, I had an epiphany, although not a pleasant one, my penis felt devoid of life. No matter how much I kissed and wanted to have sex, it won't budge. After my girlfriend left, I discovered NoFap :)

Then I tried pills for next 4-5 times and it worked. But I had had enough and told my girlfriend about my compulsive masturbation addiction and ED. She understood. For next 2.5 years we had sex without any pill. I'd be able to get it semi erect by touching or hand stimulation.
Once started sex, it would work normally. But PME would be prevail unless I ejaculate for 3-4 times, after which I can have normal sex for 5-10 minutes.
1 year back I got my second girlfriend and it has been same story only that erections are somewhat better than before, I still need stimulation except for first time maybe. I still have PME.

Before starting masturbation, I used to be horny as fuck and would get boners all the day just by looking at women. Its been 4 years on NoFap. My longest hardmode streak was 65 days and have had 3-4 streaks of 30-40 days each. Usually I can easily go 2 weeks before relapsing. Yes, I'm still addicted to masturbation.

Now my problem is that I haven't recovered yet. Yesterday I broke up with my girlfriend and she suggested me to see a urologist. She was a dermatologist. She knew everything about my addiction and talked to her urologist friend about it who told masturbation is innocuous (you know all these doctors who support porn and masturbation).

Now I've seriously started doubting whether my I will ever recover completely from ED? Should I see a doctor? I think he will tell the normal shit that masturbation is normal and so on. Should I continue doing NoFap and hope for the best? I'm going to get married sooner or later and ED isn't the best problem to have while married.

Look up Gainswave, I'm actually undergoing the therapy for it atm, going to my 4th treatment tomorrow, 6 in total. Seen great progress so far. My penis looks different, lots of new veins have grown, morning erections have come back, getting fairly hard spontaneous erections again, 1-2 a day. I'm still staying away from porn and masterbation, simply because I do believe its damaging longterm. However, I think because of bad diet, and just age related decline my erections got worse.

Gainswave seems to be correcting that, though they say the long term effects of the treatment are what the goal is, and patients that see results during treatments are typically younger guys. It literally causes your body to stimulate the growth of new blood vessels in the penis(I have a bunch of new ones only after a few treatments on the surface level, the deep tissue ones I can only guess), opens up old ones that have been clogged due to plaque build up etc.

@Nuallann Thanks for the response, mate! I don't have Gainswave available anywhere in my area. However, I'm going to see a urologist today.
However I get random erections rarely and get hard morning wood regularly.
How about you? How did you discover you were suffering from it? Was it due to porn or masturbation or just organic?

I hadn't had sex in a few months, hooked up with a girl from my younger days who has always been down with me in that area, and I just couldn't get all the way hard. I tried again twice with her, and she being a really close friend was cool about it, and thought I must be having a lot going on mentally, stressed out with work, and stuff. First time I ever had problems, so of course I started researching everything, all possible causes of ED, which is a dark rode to go down, because your mind jumps to the extremes right away. I have to say stopping porn, and masterbating helped a lot, was able to have sex with my friend at like, 90ish%, but I had to keep it under constant stimulation or it would go down within a minute or so.

Not saying I'm cured of PIED, I still think I have it, and my body is healing it slowly, but I know Gainswave really is helping as well, as I think from working at a desk job for years really screwed up my circulation.

sounds somewhat similar to me. Although I'm damn sure I got it masturbation. I got ED when I was 19 maybe. But yes after NoFap I was able to have sex but with constant stimulation and all. But I'd rarely get hard just by thought of sex when getting naked and kissing. Even when I did, it would go soft pretty quickly. I had to keep it stimulated by hand, even wearing a condom meant it could go soft.

I met a urologist 2 days ago. Although he told the same old shit that masturbation is harmless and it's psychological.
But he agreed to do hormone tests on my insistence and gave me 2 medicines. Good news is I'm seeing enough benefits within 2 days. I've started getting random erections in the day which I got very rarely before.
Today the reports of the tests will come, although both urologist and I are confident that hormones are normal.
I have a prescription for 7 days. Hopefully I will have made significant progress till then.

I have a desk job too, after your advice I have started using standing desk a lot. Don't you have standing desks at your work?

What medicines did he give you? And for what purpose? Hormones? Just curious.

And yep, sure do, I find I don't get depressed anymore as well, wonder if the greater blood flow has something to do with that? I imagine sitting down 24/7 would have the effect on a species designed for movement.

Edit: I think Urologist just look at blood flow, veins and hormones, and if everything is good, they think everything is good to go. Though some will consider deeper issues like neurological, and brain disorders. The long-term effects of porn of on the brain-penis/arousal systems is just being researched seriously. I doubt Urologist, or doctors in general, will take it seriously until some solid research comes out.

You didn't say anything about the most important question: HOW do you masturbate?

You might have learned a rather limited mechanical arousal mode which is dependent on a certain manual stimulation scheme (often exerted with a lot of pressure and rapidly) that may not be applicable with another person and may be somewhat unsuitable for intercourse.

Due to my insistence, Doctor agreed for hormonal tests, turned out I have low testosterone (358 ng/dL) and high estradiol E2 (47 pg/mL), however I never expected that. Doctor gave me hormonal injection and some tablets for 1 month. I saw benefits within 2 days.
Although My girlfriend is a doctor. She told me to get more tests done (pituitary gland etc) before taking hormonal treatment, so discontinued the hormonal treatment for now.

I was born with hernia and got the surgery done when 10 years old. She said that's the reason one of my testicles is not operating at full efficiency. No fucking clue :(

I am manly, strong, have muscular body, don't have much body fat. I eat healthy, do boxing and recently started going to gym. I am more motivated and aggressive than average guys.
Still having low Testosterone and high estrogen is something I never expected myself to have. It felt so bad and I cried after going home.
But I have started taking 8 hours sleep now and am going to do major changes to my lifestyle.

I found this post very helpful: https://www.artofmanliness.com/articles/how-to-increase-testosterone-naturally/
This guys also had T-level 383 (in my range). I am going to follow this routine closely.

If you need TRT don't be ashamed man, it's fairly cheap if you go with the generic injections, and from what I hear guys feel like gods on it in the upper levels. However, if your estradiol/estrogen is high that might be your main problem, and might not need TRT, just an estrogen blocker, and your Test might come back up. However, it's a good idea to spend maybe 6 months or so attempting to optimize your levels through others means before that big of a commitment.

The bigger question would be - did you even enjoy real sex? Did you feel sexual arousal AND pleasure during real sex? Was masturbation more pleasurable than sex?

That used to be my case for over 10 years and i didn't even realize it.

TRT is very bad, in the long run it DOWNregulates the body's capacity to naturally produce testosterone.

My man, if your body is incapable of producing sufficient testosterone, or testosterone at all due to hypogonadism, whether that be primary, or secondary, to be blunt with you, thats a mute point. Sure, it switches off natural testosterone production, but if you're only producing 300 ng/dL worth, and you've exhausted all means of optimizing, whats the point in just living with low-T because it's going to shut down the little bit your body is still capable of producing, and thats going to lower with age as well? Also, there are ways to keep your natural production that is left, while on TRT, I'll provide a link to a doctor which covers the topic, his videos are solid content for those wanting to learn about it: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGtJF4OkGQicOGmj72y6kug/videos

There are multiple reasons for low T. Usually it's just a problem of stress/anxiety that is not quantifiable. There are also many other deficiencies that cause low T, such as vit D deficiency, zinc deficiency etc

The doctor that "treated" @themaverik is an absolute moron for giving him a T shot and pills after a SIMPLE, one time test. Hormonal injections should be carried out after very extensive and long term tests. Not to mention he wasn't even LOWER than the threshold, which is 240. He was just in the lower range.

I agree he needs more test, to my knowledge legally at least 2 need to be given spaced out over 2 weeks. Yeah, there are lots of reasons for low-T, but proper diagnosing of hypogonadism will rule any of those out other than secondary, or primary hypogonadism. Like I said, after he's exhausted all means of optimizing, with no results, then TRT is logical.

The "range" thing is bullshit to begin with, the threshold of 240 is simply the area in which you start to see negative effects with regards to structural health such as osteoporosis, and other things. Optimal levels are whats important to sexual health/function. It's different for every guy, one guy may feel like a god at 500, another needs to be at least 800, both of these guys likely would feel like shit at 300.

Not attempting to encourage him to just jump on it just cuss, but that he shouldn't be ashamed if in the end he truly does need it, it's a marvel of modern medicine. Shit works, my friend is on it, was 410, they jacked him up into the 900 range, all his symptoms cleared up, deep depression went away, he's doing great, and they preserved his natural production. A good doctor treats symptoms, not just numbers.

He is not doing great, he is doing great momentarily. TRT just masks the symptoms/problems, like an antidepressant masks depression or an opioid/painkiller masks pain.

In the long run he will crash.

He's been on it for almost 20 years now, so.........You don't "crash" from TRT, idk where you're getting that from, you can stay on it the rest of your natural life. Your body doesn't give a damn where the Testosterone is coming from, just that it's in the body, it will use it all the same.

You don't seem to understand what actual hypogonadism is. There is no way to jump start production again because the feed back loop system which triggers it in the body is broken, or faulty. There are two main ways this takes place, there is a third, but its more rare. The two main ways are secondary, and primary. Primary is where the testicles themselves simply are no longer able to produce Test, or are no longer able to produce a sufficient amount for optimal levels, or in the range levels. Secondary is where your brain can't trigger your testicles to produce sufficient levels, or any at all. As we get older, we all become primary at some point, though the FDA doesn't recommend TRT simply for age related decline, lots of disagreement over that.

If he doesn't have hypogonadism he should be able to optimize his levels just fine with changes to lifestyle factors, which is likely the case, we're sedentary af compared to our grandfathers

Yes my friend talked to a endocrinologist friend of hers and i got some more tests done today (S. LH , FSH , prolactin, TSH, HIV, VDRL with titres, Hb1ac) and am waiting for the reports.

I don't know man it all sounds ridiculous, low T is the last problem I thought I'd experience in my life. And HIV tests and all it's fucking ridiculous. I have this problem since I was 20. I was virgin at that time. I don't know why these HIV and STD tests are even on the diagnosis.
But yes, I didn't expect to have a low T either, so discovering that I'm HIV positive will be a surprise worth celebrating. haha

@ultrafabber Doc didn't give the T-shot but Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) shot, he said it will help testicles to produce more T. Something like that is also written online. Another salt was letrozole tablet (estrogen blocker).
I don't know whether to call it TRT or not, but it doesn't seem so.
and yes, I've already started taking vit D, Zinc, Magnesium and omega 3 fatty acid supplements.

Yeah, HCG is what should be used on guys whose balls are still capable of producing testosterone, but for some reason the body just isn't triggering it for whatever reason. It basically skips the feed back loop system of the body, and triggers the balls on it's own. Sounds like the right course of action for a young guy, glad you appear to have a competent doctor. If that doesn't work they'd move to straight TRT, injections hopefully, from my understanding the injections are just second to no other form of TRT. I doubt you have HIV, or an STD( maybe just a minor one ;) ), they're just likely checking for all possible causes of suppressed T-production.

The estrogen blocker tends to be necessary because when your T gets too high, the body basically decides it has enough, and begins to convert to estrogen, from my understanding. This tends not to be a problem with guys with fine natural T production, because it fluctuates so much, high in the morning, low at night, body doesn't get to convert much. When you get injections, its more, steady, stays higher much more than natural guys. One of the perks are if you're a bodybuilder, and you do a cut, you don't get the lower T that comes with a calorie deficit, because your body is not the one producing it.
